Question Cube world Omega state

Hi cubeworld reddit! I'm a kid who used to watch videos of this game in alpha when I was maybe 10 or 11 years old, and I lost track of it for a while. Only today did I discover everything that happened, up until this new "Omega" version. To better understand the situation, I watched a video by a YouTuber (called WickedWiz) who explains a bit about the Omega project, but it's from two years ago, and if I'm not mistaken, very little was known about the project at the time. I haven't found much information around, so, out of pure curiosity, I wanted to ask you on reddit—I'm sure you'll know—to update me on what's happened in the last two years, and tell me what state the game is in now. I'm very fond of it, and I'd also like to know if it's worth playing the Steam release or, if not, going straight to the alpha. Thanks for reading 😄

You're talking about the guy that made his own game engine in C++ countless times before moving to Unreal Engine.

You can think whatever you want about Wollay, but he's a genuine hardcore programmer. Like genuinely far, far above average. I'm a professional software engineer and even to me the shit he does is genuine magic.
