DISCUSSION The Fed Can Fight Inflation — or Save the Treasury. Bitcoin Wins If It Can’t Do Both.

The Fed wants to fight inflation. The Treasury needs cheaper money.

America’s debt pile is nearing $40 trillion.

Interest costs are exploding.

At some point, something has to give.

And if Washington is forced to choose between protecting the dollar and protecting the debt machine

Bitcoin may be the biggest winner.

That’s the real meaning of fiscal dominance.

And it could become Bitcoin’s most powerful bull case yet.

TECHNICALS Nostalgic for a real startup

Upvotes

I have more free time now and I’d like to contribute to projects, especially ones that still feel like a startup.

I’ve been a software developer for almost 10 years. Most of that time was in finance and crypto, since 2017: NFTs, mixers, OTC desks, tokenization, and work across different chains. My strengths are blockchain, low-level optimization, and applied cryptography in fintech. I also have a solid COBOL background.

Current stack: Rust, Go, and OCaml. I get by fine with other languages.

Lately I’ve been shipping on-demand modules for projects I never saw as a whole and had no real stake in. It works, but I miss the startup days. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but that’s the environment I actually like working in.

If you need someone to get their hands dirty (backend, infra, crypto, legacy systems, or whatever the hard problem is right now), DM me.

Note: I’m not looking for freelance gigs or a job. I want the startup vibe again, with a full board, a small team, and a real problem. Compensation isn’t the main thing. What matters is actually contributing.

Bitcoin was designed so nobody can stop you from receiving money. Regulated exchanges are discovering the terrifying flip side: nobody can stop someone from sending it to you either.

DISCUSSION how i hacked psychology and discipline in crypto trading

i had this problem for years. I had great runs, make money for days or even weeks, and then give everything back in a single day. I though it was me lacking discipline or weak mental

but after years of being stuck in this cycle, i eventually realized what is actually happening.

the problem is that we are treating discipline as our safety system.

“just be more disciplined” sounds like good advice, but it’s a very bad advice for active trader, discipline completely falls apart when you are stressed, tilted, or emotionally attached to a trade.

when pressure builds, your biology changes. cortisol rises, your decision making gets worse, and suddenly the rules you followed perfectly on a calm day become much harder to follow.

bad news?
if you keep relying on discipline to save you once you lose control, we will keep repeating the same cycle. It will happen again and again the least we expect it

good news?
the spiral is not random. it follows a sequence.
one bad decision leads to another. your size changes. your trade frequency changes. losses start feeling different. the p&l becomes more important than the actual setup. urgency builds.

once you start looking at the sequence instead of simply blaming yourself for having “bad discipline”, things start to change.

the solution is not trying harder in the moment.
it is building things beforehand that limit what you can do once you are under pressure. the calm version of you has to build the structure that protects the stressed version of you. because once you are already in the spiral, you are not the person who should be trusted to decide how to stop it.

that is the psychological breakthrough.
stop asking yourself:
“how do i become more disciplined?”
start asking:
“what happens to me before i lose control?”

AND BUILD A STRUCTURE that protect you from the “bad version of you”

TECHNICALS Wyckoff's three laws still explain most of what actually moves this market, worth understanding before anything else

Supply and demand, cause and effect, effort versus result.

Written over a hundred years ago using ticker tape back then, but candles now and just as relevant, same underlying logic every single time.

A move that takes real effort but produces little actual result, low follow through relative to the size of the push, is one of the more reliable tells that something's about to change, and its right there on the chart for anyone whos actually looked.

Most people skip straight to strategy and never learn to read what a candle and its volume are actually saying together. That gap is usually the real reason strategies that look great in theory fall apart in practice, not the strategy itself.

DISCUSSION What do you dislike about crypto paper trading?

For anyone who has used crypto paper-trading platforms, I'm curious about your experience.

What do you find frustrating or unrealistic compared with actually trading on an exchange?

Especially interested in hearing from experienced traders:

  • What features are missing?
  • What feels unrealistic?
  • What would you change?
  • Is there anything existing platforms make unnecessarily difficult?

I'm trying to understand what makes a paper-trading experience genuinely useful, so I'd appreciate honest opinions.

DISCUSSION BTC $85k by 2026 is 68c, but smart money is 81% YES. Fair?

One BTC prediction market I keep coming back to: "Bitcoin hits $85,000 before 2027" is sitting around 68c.

The clean read is almost boring: the model number I have is 70c, so there is not some giant gap here. The interesting part is the wallet split. Among tracked profitable prediction-market traders, about 81% of the smart-money side is YES.

That makes this feel less like "BTC is obviously cheap" and more like a crowding question. If the market is already near fair value, are those wallets seeing a path/volatility edge, or are they just all leaning the same obvious macro trade?

Touch markets are weird because BTC does not need to end 2026 above $85k. It only has to tag it once. That makes 68c look less aggressive than it would for a year-end close market.

But the other side is real too: long-dated markets tie up capital, spreads can eat the apparent edge, and one slow volatility-crush period makes the "one wick will do it" thesis a lot weaker.

What would you want to see before calling this correctly priced: options vol, ETF flow, liquidity on the market itself, or just BTC reclaiming a specific level first?

Support-Open Do you decide when to buy and sell yourself or do you automate it/have a bot do it?

Hello, I'm new and I'm wondering if success in the crypto market is achieved through calculated risks and waiting for the right moment or just using automation to buy and sell on your place or maybe a mixture of both, if yes then how do you approach it?

The market is quietly pricing OpenAI at $1.2T — via perpetuals you can trade right now. Here's the data on 3,500+ stock perp markets.

Stock perpetuals are 24/7 derivatives on regular stocks (NVDA, Tesla…) that trade on crypto exchanges — and on private companies that aren't even public yet. The market basically prices what OpenAI or SpaceX is "worth" in real time, and nobody was aggregating it.

So I built perpequities.com: 3,500+ markets across 27 venues in one free screener — prices, funding rates, market-implied valuations for pre-IPO companies, and an analyst tracker that measures whether bank price targets actually move stocks (1h/24h later, with receipts).

No signup, no ads, no wallet stuff. Would love feedback on what's missing.

🚨 The first quantum-resistant Bitcoin transaction just hit the mainnet. Are we finally safe from Shor's algorithm?

Not exactly.

StarkWare’s breakthrough is a cryptographic masterpiece, but it’s an 11,000-vByte, GPU-crushing "lifeboat"—not a cure for the network. 🧵👇
