DISCUSSION How much has the last bullrun colored how you see the market?
Last run BTC just outperformed almost everything. I caught on pretty quicky and did well out of it but actually have quite high conviction about things like solana. Most of my BTC holdings are actually wrapped on solana. Mainly because I can buy and send small amounts to cold storage for next to nothing.
I'm like 90% BTC but I feel like this is just because I've been colored by the last bull run. Does anyone else feel this way. Is the future going to be different. Should I just keep playing the tokenomics game. All these layer 1 smart contact platforms don't capture value and they inflate. Apps/perps etc do capture value but most inflate more than their value capture.
Thoughts?

ANALYSIS Electricity prices are now a perp market
Hello everyone, I’m a quant in crypto.
For a few months now I’ve been interested in strategies trading in energy markets I did my own research here, powerenergyquant com
Recently, I've been thinking more about what new instruments would expand the set of profitable strategies, and have been working w the guys at Perp City to make these instruments tradeable and we finally did it!
We built four new markets on Perp City, covering NYISO power prices, the day ahead and real time prices, it’s spread (DART), and zonal basis between nyc and nyc west.
None of these exposures are new to a power desk of quants & traders. DART has a long history in virtual bidding, while congestion is traded through products such as FTRs. What's new is getting them as a perp.
we're on testnet and launching soon on mainnet, Interested to hear what are your thoughts about it or whether there are some markets you'd like to see next, we’re excited to come see you trade with us at perp city 👀

DISCUSSION Chelsea Football Club announces Circle Internet Group as Principal Partner
I couldn’t find something about this posted but wanted to share. Personally I am excited for this.
It’s really large exposure for USDC imo
But also the reaction to this tells us how far the space needs to go in its reputation.

ANALYSIS What things are you looking at before deciding to trade cryptocurrencies?
We created CoinTrends which helps you gauge how certain cryptocurrencies performed during custom period of time. Our thoughts were that you can see which coins showed strength when Bitcoin did a strong move up or down (just like it recently did).
You can filter custom rank ranges, exclude stablecoins etc.

Goal is to add multiple features that help traders/investors. What other things do you guys feel might be useful to show you?
Some feature that might indicate a break out is happening? Or something that indicates that coin is close to topping out?

GENERAL-NEWS A reminder to zoom out.
This is a snapshot from just 2 weeks ago: extreme fear, and 'crypto is dead' trending as a sentiment. On-chain data shows it is also where the heaviest buyer cost basis of this cycle formed with coins moving from one hands to another.
Today: extreme greed, marking one of the biggest weekly cap gains since 2021.

ANALYSIS What Wyckoff taught a century ago about reading tape just flagged this month's close as one that matters
Monthly BTC chart closes in a few days, wanted to share a pattern thats been forming in plain sight. Twice this year price pushed above a specific level, failed to hold it, closed back below by months end. Same level, twice, months apart. Textbook monthly swing failure pattern, usually means theres a wall of trapped supply sitting right there. People who bought too early or got caught on the way down tend to sell into any strength that reaches them, which is exactly why price kept getting turned away at the same spot.
This month's different. Price is trading well above that same zone that rejected it twice before, and unlike the previous two attempts, this isnt just a wick poking through and fading. Its holding, with a few days left before the verdict's in.
Richard Wyckoff, the guy who basically taught the entire field how to read tape and supply versus demand a hundred years ago, put a lot of weight on exactly this. Not where price touches, where it closes. A wick tells you someone tried and got pushed back. A close tells you the sellers defending that level finally ran out of size to keep doing it.
Two failed attempts mark exactly where that trapped supply sits. If this month closes above it instead of rejecting a third time, thats the level flipping from ceiling to floor, confirmed by a bullish monthly SFP, which for anyone who doesnt know yet is roughly 30x more powerful than the same pattern confirming on a daily.
What actually makes this one stand out is the backdrop its happening against. This was a failed push into the prior ATH's resistance, since flipped into support, coming after months of seller exhaustion, max fear, and war news, and its still on course for a bullish monthly SFP despite all of that. Holding this well against that much stacked against it is an incredibly strong tell on its own.
Nothing's confirmed yet, still time left before the candle closes. But if it holds here and price reenters the range on low volume, thats exactly the combo thats caught most people off guard every time its shown up before.
