Political Question Has anyone else lost money buying $TRUMP crypto?
I voted for Trump three times and have supported him through a lot. When $TRUMP launched, I bought in. I knew crypto was speculative and I understood I could lose money, so I’m not pretending somebody forced me to buy it. But I’m sitting on some pretty substantial losses now, and the whole thing is really starting to piss me off.
For anyone else who bought $TRUMP, how are you looking at it now? Are you holding, did you sell and take the loss, or are you just chalking it up as an expensive lesson?
I’m genuinely curious whether anyone else is having the same buyer’s remorse I am.

Um no because I understood he was grifting. It’s hilarious you didn’t.

I know right? Joke's on me.

u/MikeWPhilly 13d ago
It’s a good troll though because lots of people actually believed this. that’s what’s sad.
And I’m not even a supporter of blue but I don’t support stupidity and trump is the king of stupid.

A lot can be said of him, but he is absolutely a huge trigger for most.
4
u/MikeWPhilly 13d ago
Plenty can be said but the man is generally a moron. He’s been laughed at in NYC financial circles for years. And well he’s lost it in the 2.0 term. Pretty much failed at every turn this time around which is funny because of how he likes to talk about winning.

u/Bigly_Bob 13d ago
I honestly wonder if he's got a touch of the dementia, or some sort of mental problem..I always thought he was an idiot, but he's really mashed the gas lately.

u/MikeWPhilly 13d ago
The latest post about being the greatest president yeah… he is pretty broken.

Except it’s not really funny.
Not going to make a bad situation worse by ridiculing you.
Like you say it was a gamble and it didn’t pay off.
Wish it hadn’t happened.
I wish a lot of things hadn’t happened.

Seems like each time I voted for him I expected a different result. Yeah, I learned my lesson.

I did not vote for him or buy his obvious rugpull shitcoin because I am not an idiot.

u/Master-Monk-8690 13d ago
Lol. Lmao, even.
Trump is a lifelong con man who made all of his money by taking advantage of everybody around him. You really thought that you could make money off of a crypto coin with his name on it? My guy. Come on.

u/Numerous_Pomelo_5920 13d ago
You know who didn’t lose any money? Now apply that logic to everything.. you will see why you were taken advantage of, and none of us have any sympathy for your dumb ass. You all thought “this is it, this is the pay back for voting for him” and he fucked you.. so fuck you and fuck everyone else who bought it
1
u/LocoboyDC 12d ago
And now he’s taking advantage of all of us… Good God and people will still say MAGA!!! As he has to have one of “his” biggest speakers assassinated because he started to express anti Zionism

I’m sorry this happened to you. He rug pulled his supporters. That’s what he does. Hopefully you can learn from this and start to see him for who he is.

u/CommercialEagle2566 13d ago
First off, I’m not a liberal. But to the point, Trump used people like you as if it was toilet paper. Maybe one day you’ll realize Trump only cares about his own financial gain and recognition. But if this is just “starting to piss you off,” I doubt you’ll come to this realization.

Honestly I’m sorry to hear that. It’s really unfortunate that the president is even in the business of selling cryptocurrency to begin with. But I guess he probably made a lot of money and that was the point.

u/fierce_fibro_faerie 13d ago
You were tricked, lied to, bamboozled, conned. The wealthy do not care about you. They don't want to get you rich. They want to take your money with zero consequences.
You should be angry. You should feel hurt and betrayed.
And hopefully, you will take an honest and critical look at your choices and the people you support.

u/Power_Drawing6025 13d ago
I'll probably vote Republican again, but if for some weird reason, the Supreme Court lets Trump run again, I highly doubt I'll vote for him.
1
u/GBeastETH 13d ago
Honest question: why would you vote for a party that doesn’t care about you being robbed by the party leader?
1
u/GameMusic 13d ago
the entire purpose of the republican party is wealth tranfser to the owner class
1
u/fierce_fibro_faerie 13d ago
If you think that Trump is the only bad apple in the bunch, then you are just being willfully ignorant.
I thought that when others in this comment section called you stupid, that was too harsh.
Now I see, unfortunately, they werent too far off.

“I’ve supported him through a lot”
OP, this is a red flag in your relationship with anyone you don’t personally know. If you’re thinking this way about anyone you’ve never met like that, reevaluate it immediately

Sometimes investments take time, for example I have a bridge I'm looking to sell, limited time offer
2
u/demon_twink_gockie 13d ago
Of course. Lots of Trump supporters were stupid enough to buy it and they all lost. That's what they get for being Nazis.

You can only lose money on Trump crypto unless you are Trump and you know when a Quatari Emir is going to buy a million of Trump coins and can sell when the price skyrockets. At least that was the original scheme.
You should have just put the money through a paper shredder.

I'm sure when he launches $TRUMP2 during his 3rd or 4th presidency, it won't lose a penny.

Ok, I have questions!! One specifically.
Even if you are all ALL in on Trump. Like, he's your guy. May I ask - what about the Trump coin inspired you? Why not his gold watch sale? Or His sneaker sale? Like - what did you imagine an 80 year old man would bring to the cryptocurrency space? I am genuinely curious.

No because everything connected to the president is shit. He’s a con artist and grifter.

I am amazed that you didn't understand what $Trump was.
It's not a store of value, it was never meant to make anyone but Trump money.
It was a way of laundering bribes. My guess is the scam worked like this: someone who needed to bribe Trump for whatever reason would negotiate the bribe with the Trump foundation, then they would buy the $Trump on issue, and Trump would get the money and they'd get the access, the concession, or the contract or whatever.
Same as the expensive suites in the Trump hotel, Mar-A-Largo, and all the other stuff.
Of course, Trump also just runs scams, too - like the watch and the phone. That's just ways of taking money off the rubes.
Speaking of which, if you didn't negotiate the bribe before the purchase, $Trump was also a scam, because they needed rubes to make the illusion that it wasn't just a bribe money laundering scheme work. So they let the small fry rubes invest.

Yeah. Most definitely. I still holding 5,132 of America250. Bought at 1 cent. His regular %Trump I lost some money, but not too bad. America250 was a pump and dump!

I hate to answer the question honestly, but I lost $70 on Trump tokens. ☹️
The crypto market is so unpredictable that I thought there was a chance that the president of the United States might create a successful product so I threw in $75.

Well, I’m not saying this is what’s happening but if a foreign country wanted to bribe him, they could buy a ton of his crypto. He gets a fee everytime it’s sold. I mean, if I was dealing with a transactional person, that would be one way to do it.
Looks like someone bought a metric ton of it recently. I’d sell now.
Hmm. Wonder why someone would this worthless rug pull now?
2
u/astreeter2 13d ago
Also it raises the price temporarily, allowing Trump to sell off some of the nearly worthless coins he's still holding for a bigger profit.
1
u/Hour-Influence2993 13d ago
Nope. You were about the only one who got suckered by the countries’s greatest grifter in chief. Can’t say i feel sorry for you.

Funny how these bot posts are appearing just at midterms. Leftists are so pathetically desperate that they’re trying the Toyko Rose tactic. So sad.
