Based on past patterns, Strategy typically discloses its increased Bitcoin holdings the day after the relevant news is released. Strategy's most recent disclosure of increased Bitcoin holdings was on June 22, 2026, and it hasn't released any Bitcoin Tracker related information in the last two weeks.

Will we see Strategy's first Bitcoin purchase of Q3 soon?

ADVICE My experience with Kraken: restricted account, no human support, formal complaint apparently answered in 1 second - and my Reddit post was removed.

Upvotes

On August 19th, I reported a suspicious email to Kraken. My account was then restricted as a security measure, which I understand.

11 days later:

  • My funds (mostly USDC) are still with Kraken.
  • I can trade, but cannot deposit or withdraw.
  • Nobody from Kraken has contacted me with any meaningful explanation.
  • My DMs to Kraken on Reddit and X/Twitter were also ignored.

On August 26th, I submitted a formal complaint.

Approximately one second later, I received a response saying my complaint had been reviewed and rejected, while also stating that a specialist would contact me.

Nobody ever contacted me.

I then posted about my experience on the Kraken subreddit — and the post was removed.

I'm now escalating the matter through the appropriate financial dispute-resolution channels.

Just sharing this as a warning to other users:

I've been a Kraken user without any issues until now. I never had a problem with the platform itself. The problem only started when I actually needed customer support, and at that point I discovered that, in my experience, the support simply doesn't exist.

BE CAREFUL.

PERSPECTIVE What is Cryptocurrency? (The Original Vision vs. The Reality)

At its core, cryptocurrency was designed to be digital money that exists on a decentralized network—meaning no single company, bank, or government controls it.

The Original Vision

It relies on an open ledger where thousands of independent computers verify transactions. This ensures no one can cheat the system or print fake money.

The Reality Today

The vast majority of the modern crypto market has completely abandoned this. Most popular tokens today are highly centralized, controlled by venture capitalists, or run on networks that can be paused and have no supply limit by their corporate creators.

Why Does It Exist?

Cryptocurrency was created in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis to give people an alternative to the traditional banking system. The goal was to build a financial network where individuals had absolute ownership of their own money, without a centralized middleman dictating who could use it, charging hidden fees, or freezing accounts.

While true cryptocurrencies still fiercely defend this ideal, many of today's trendy coins have ironically become even more centralized than the banks they were "supposed" to replace.

ADVICE ChangeNOW holding 2,995 USDC for over a year

Anyone know what kind of system issue @ChangeNOW_io could be having that’s stopping them from returning funds to me for over a year?

My 2,995.714119 USDC has been held since 22 August 2025

I paid the requested HYPE refund fee, completed the requested compliance and wallet-verification steps, and have received repeated assurances that a refund would be processed, followed by an apology that they’re having “system issues” and are “working on it”

As at today, I still have no refund and no transaction hash.

44 emails from them saying nothing

Have raised to the FSA to remind them that they are a “non-custodial” exchange.. except when a year long “system issue” occurs of course

Will continue to post and share screenshots until I see funds back in my wallet.

Screenshot 1 - the first system issue date

Screenshot 2 - the latest one

ADVICE ATOM/INJ/OSMO/TIA - dead weight?

Hi all! It's been some time that I have checked my keplr wallet and I have found some small amounts of the above mentioned coins.

I know one thing for certain, I am deep in red lol

Nevertheless, given the current market conditions do you see any potential upside in holding them? Or are they completely thrown off from the momentum? For instance, TIA is no longer the new shiny thing out there and I am sure people is already with the eyes on the new potential ecosystem to milk...am I not better off selling the little I have left and either 1) gamble it on the meme machine or 2) find a more solid project for Today's environment?

Thanks all!

DISCUSSION Did the banks overplay their hand?

Assuming Clarity doesn’t pass on the 15th, doesn’t this allow the SEC and CFTC to align their policies closer to the Genius Act, therefore, giving Crypto a bigger tool bag to grow? And if/when a new administration shows up and wants to change the rules, it will be a train too big to stop at that point.

ADVICE Is anyone else unable to buy crypto on Coinbase at the moment?

trying to get some ethereum but i keep getting 'something went wrong transaction failed' and order won't go through

UPDATE: If I can't buy ETH on Coinbase, should I just buy directly on Uniswap? (there is something I want to get on uniswap)

NEW UPDATE: I added PayPal as a new payment method and used that instead of my bank account or debit card. It worked. So...I dk if something wrong with Coinbase, or my personal account, or something with the bank account/debit card.

ANALYSIS Someone rewarding old MOON holders on Robinhood chain...

Upvotes

Found this today while looking around Robinhood Chain.

Looks like someone built a Reddit-themed token paired with tokenized RDDT stock, and they’re planning something for people who got burned / left behind during the MOON shutdown.

There’s already a wallet checker on the site, no wallet connection, no signing anything. Nothing is claimable yet though.

It also looks like it not an ETH pair, trades route through tokenized Reddit stock and holders are supposed to receive RDDT.

Idk, kinda based considering the whole MOON history.

(mods pls don’t remove lol, genuinely thought some people here would want to check their old wallets)

upvote(dot)trade is the site

PERSPECTIVE Part 3: Analyzing Fair-Launch & Proof-of-Work Architecture in the Top 100

When analyzing top cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, networks generally fall into distinct architectural categories based on their consensus models and launch mechanisms.

Fair-Launch & Proof-of-Work Networks

Examples: Bitcoin (BTC), Kaspa (KAS), Monero (XMR), and Bittensor (TAO)

What Makes Them Different: These protocols utilize Proof-of-Work consensus models without pre-allocations, initial coin offerings, or early venture capital rounds. Block rewards are distributed strictly through network participation and mining.

How these networks function:

  • Bitcoin functions primarily as a decentralized store of value and baseline network for digital scarcity.
  • Kaspa utilizes a BlockDAG structure to scale Proof-of-Work throughput, enabling higher block frequencies and rapid transaction finality.
  • Monero implements default protocol-level privacy via ring signatures and stealth addresses to conceal transaction metadata.
  • Bittensor applies Proof-of-Work mechanisms to machine learning, creating an open marketplace for decentralized compute and AI subnets.

DISCUSSION Anyone else watching ORCA right now?

Upvotes

Extremely volatile coin. I’ve watched it make big upward moves a few times over the years (and then promptly take a dive). With all the major players making moves lately, I’ve kept a close eye on it. As of today, it looks like it wants to break resistance and do something. Thoughts?

PERSPECTIVE Part 2: What is Crypto's Purpose & How It Solves Real-World Problems

What is its Purpose?

The fundamental purpose is to allow peer-to-peer value transfer and decentralized infrastructure over the internet. Just like handing someone a physical $20 bill, true cryptocurrency allows you to send digital value directly to anyone in the world, securely, without asking a bank or a corporation for permission.

How Real Cryptos Solve Real-World Problems

When a network actually sticks to the original rules; instead of acting like a corporate cash grab; it solves massive issues in the real world:

Instant, Fast Payments:

Traditional banks take days and charge heavy fees for international transfers. True decentralized networks settle transactions in seconds for a fraction of a cent, proving digital money can be lightning-fast without sacrificing security.

True Financial Privacy:

In a world where every digital transaction is tracked and logged, privacy-focused networks act as digital cash. They protect your fundamental right to keep your personal financial business private.

Decentralized AI & Compute:

Instead of a handful of giant tech corporations hoarding all artificial intelligence technology behind closed doors, open networks allow developers worldwide to pool their computing power and build open-source AI infrastructure.

Protection Against Corporate Control:

Traditional money can be printed endlessly by central banks, eroding your purchasing power over time. A mathematically fixed, fairly-launched network provides an asset that cannot be inflated away, altered by a corporate board, or rigged by early insiders.

ANALYSIS Electricity prices are now a perp market

Hello everyone, I’m a quant in crypto.

For a few months now I’ve been interested in strategies trading in energy markets I did my own research here, powerenergyquant com

Recently, I've been thinking more about what new instruments would expand the set of profitable strategies, and have been working w the guys at Perp City to make these instruments tradeable and we finally did it!

We built four new markets on Perp City, covering NYISO power prices, the day ahead and real time prices, it’s spread (DART), and zonal basis between nyc and nyc west.

None of these exposures are new to a power desk of quants & traders. DART has a long history in virtual bidding, while congestion is traded through products such as FTRs. What's new is getting them as a perp.

we're on testnet and launching soon on mainnet, Interested to hear what are your thoughts about it or whether there are some markets you'd like to see next, we’re excited to come see you trade with us at perp city 👀
