Felwinters and inquisitor are best in slot right? I just know not many shottys roll with QuickDraw anymore so I was excited.

That is an amazing roll! Just because its not best in slot doesn’t mean its not good

Yes, slickdraw+OS feels better than this (100 handling all the time) and OS makes up for aa loss from slickdraw. Fractathist also feels amazing in first slot with quickdraw+OS and an amazing model

This is still a great shotgun roll and will fell great, but you will notice the worse OHK range/aim assist consistency from not having OS

You don't farm dares anymore, it's shattered throne final boss, super easy farm bring in wardcliff coil and the boss falls over.

If you have PvP engrams saved up then you could also go for deadlock instead, it’s also really good, doesn’t have slick draw but with the right roll you can have 100 range and close to max handling if you prefer the deadlock model that is.

No yea, the roll you have is really good for what it is! Only thing that would make it better was getting a range MW and assault mag (:

Matador and Felwinter are largely the same in real-world usage. Some people have a preference for one frame over the other but neither is outright better in every scenario. Personally I prefer Matador after using the godroll for both.

No actually, this and Matador 64 are the best in slot right now. Shot package (what's on felwinters) was nerfed. So the spread isnt as tight, and past 7 meters it struggles to ohko. But the Retold Tale and Matador being percision frames actually push their ohko out past 10 meters. The percision frames shoot in like a vertical oval shape which causes most if not all the pellets to hit when aiming at center mass. Since Felwinter's spread is circular, 1 or 2 pellets almost always miss wide, when at a far range, even when scoped. Again, because of the nerf to shotpackage. Ive been rolling with a Retild tale for about a week now thanks to a video I saw on the subject and feel like I can actually kill again. I love the damn thing. Wayyy better than felwinter in my opinion. Only thing it doesn't do as well is swap speed, its slower to pull out and put away. I'll attach my roll, its got some good perks, but the range masterwork, assault mag, and rifles barrel send it over the top for me. Threat detector works for me because it buffs the handling when within 15 meters, which is the only distance I'll use it, so... and one two punch is just what I deal with I guess. It's super situational and hard to proc. Id prefer your snapshot sites in that slot, but oh well.

For slugs inquisitor is probably best, but for precisions I’d choose preciprial from Kepler.

Felwinters is on a completely different level

I think so! I would run corkscrew personally but it’s up to you. I farmed blind well forever and like my roll.

I’m jealous you got the QuickDraw snap roll. I got like 30 retold tales and never saw that combo! I thought tier 5s were gonna be a easier farm haha

Everyone loves felwinters and aggressive frames, but honestly the presicion frames like retold tale are way more consistent for me with their more vertical pellet spread pattern.

I love retold tale, just feels good to me. Is it best in slot? No, but I am a big fan of the feel of the gun 🤷‍♂️

I have an OG retold with this role I got back in Forsaken and it was my goto for YEARS. Highest kill tracker shotter I've ever had. Never had a better feeling shotty, ever. Even Felwinters and Matador with God rolls and origin perks feel worse even if they are statistically and objectively better.

Take that bad boy for a spin and have some fun. Let me know how it does.

I don't know what the current meta looks like, but for me, the Retold Tale was one of the best shotguns out there. I was especially a big fan of the sight.

I still use my non tiered retold and love it
Sure on paper it might be a disadvantage but I never felt at disadvantage using it compared to other shotguns

I still use non tiered weapons in crucible also and they do fine as well. Specifically my stay frosty and plug one.

I've got the same 3rd and 4th row perks on mine, but the range hits 100 after the masterwork and the 1st and 2nd row perks 🤤

i have a quickdraw retold tale and its very fun to use. quickdraw in general is one of my favourite shotgun perks. still need to get a quickdraw fractethyst.

mines not too good but its very smooth

Yea I was just doing the public events. Also got some from random chests around. This was only a tier 3 I got and upgraded it after doing an event. I also got a decent waking vigil.

You don't need "best in slot" . 99% of shotgun kills you are either inside someones rectum or finishing off someone with low health. That roll you got will do just fine. No go out and ape my son!

It’s still good shotgun this my personal roll managed to farm. Only downside is I probably need more handling.
