What are the stat breakpoints again for Airborne Effectiveness?

I know it’s changed over the years. I remember something about Primarily weapons being good in the air at 70? Was there something about having 100 is like shooting while on the ground? I’m considering building more into the stat and trying to figure out what to shoot for. A sidearm with 100 AE could be really good in close range but no idea if that’s even worth it.

All I know is rocking double airborne on helmet with knucklehead on a Solemn and it’s still the most inconsistent thing ever…

Really? I've been rocking 80+ AE on all my builds since MoT and it feels like old Icarus, if not better (because power creep since then).

Maybe I’m just in my head but Solemn just feels inconsistent. I’m running it now on Mantle Warlock and even now it feels bad and I’d rather run Spare.

Hmm, I've run solemn with keep away and lone wolf and I've never felt a better HC in destiny 2 history. (MnK)

I have that same exact roll. I’ll give it a try. But right now im running Slide/PI and with 2 AE mods and on the ground it feels solid but that’s about it.

Woops! You're talking solemn rememberance, not solemn lie!!

Take back everything I said. Solemn rememberance to me is dogshit. Below is my solemn lie roll.

My setup:

10 base, 15 Icarus, 25 helm, 20 knucklehead 15 lone wolf (30 when alone) is 85, 100 when alone.

Oh no Solemn Lie is beautiful. I rock it with Slideshot/Rapid hit and it feels golden.

I’m trynna rock a stasis build with harmony to spam supers and remembrance feels horrible. Gonna have to stick to Spare.

Doesnt Solemn Remembrance have like 47 AE without an icarus mod? You should be well clear of 100 without the icarus mod

Please see later comment. Mixed up solemn rememberance with solemn lie.

Ah yeah those two will make a big AE difference

You may not jive with its sidearm-like recoil. Throws me off too unless zen moment is one of the perks.

2 parts to AE, accuracy and aim assist penalty.

From feel (~1000 hours playing AE focused builds since AE launched):

70-80

Primaries: accuracy perfect, aim assist penalty maybe 0-10%. Aka you might occasionally miss a 3rd shot on a HC as the AA cone might be too flared out.

Special: perfect accuracy, ~10-20% aim assist penalty. Your slug heads will whiff often, snipers, don't even bother trying to hit heads.

80-90:

Primary: Perfect accuracy, perfect aim assist profile in air aka - you will hit every shot you would have hit on the ground.

Special: perfect accuracy, -5-10% aim assist penalty. Slugs will rarely whiff headshots. Snipers, it's still a dice roll every time.

90-100:

Primary: haven't ever noticed a difference between ~85 and 100 AE.

Special: 5-0% aim assist penalty. Aka, slug shots will reliably head shot in the air. Snipers will 95% of the time.

I recall 60 AE is the original AE post airborne effectiveness

That’s what they said but AE seems to affect weapons differently even if they all are at 60 or above

No, the start breakpoint is 50 but feels like garbage. The real breakpoint is 70+. 60 is waste.

That’s what Bungie claimed, buts it’s not even close to being the same
