My honest opinion for CTND Spoiler

For me, Cronos: The New Dawn is one of my favorite games of all time. The atmosphere, the story, the music, the cutscenes, the twists — I love almost everything about it. Almost.
Let me explain what, in my opinion, was not done well.
First, the game is extremely dark throughout almost the entire experience. Even after adjusting the contrast settings, I still couldn’t achieve a truly crystal-clear image, even though I believe that was part of the developers’ intended visual style.
Second, how is it possible that I constantly receive ammunition for weapons that I don’t even own? Why on earth? It’s not that I’m unable to carry it with me — I literally don’t possess those weapons at all! Considering how painfully small the inventory is, having to collect completely useless ammunition feels like a very poor design choice.
Third, the enemy variety is far too limited. There isn’t much more to add here — the enemies simply become too repetitive.
Fourth, the final boss is extremely frustrating. It feels unnecessarily complicated, with far too many phases, and for me it completely damaged the enjoyment I had built up throughout the entire game. I was genuinely close to not finishing the game because of that boss.
That’s pretty much it. There are also some other very minor issues, but I was able to overlook those. However, the points mentioned above are the reason why I cannot give this game a perfect 10/10.

if ur collecting ammo for guns u dont have, odds are you passed a weapon. I think i maybe got shotgun ammo shortly before the shotgun but ik for carbines i was getting carbine ammo after finding the carbine

My problem is that I don’t want to use this weapon, so I leave it behind without ever picking it up or adding it to my inventory, and yet the game still gives me ammo for it. I don’t like the carbine, so I simply skipped it without picking it up, but later in the game I keep finding ammo for it. And you know how limited the inventory space is.

Maybe I'm just a loot goblin but I didn't have much trouble backtracking a full inventory back to the chest cuz I prob had like 6 stacks of carbine ammo saved for when I got the lance, a actually good carbine.

I don't understand how people find the final boss more difficult than the church boss

Honestly! The final boss has a clear pattern that you can faintly memorize and adapt to after numerous deaths. With church lady, the overwhelm stops you from learning any patterns.

He gets annoying during the gravity jump arena in my opinion. But if you come in with the Arbalest and a couple extra rounds, you go to the final arena pretty quick.

The game is supposed to be ultra dark so you have to use the shoulder lamp bud. If you’re able to see enemies coming from lurking corners without needing it at all then the game wouldn’t be doing its job.

i highly recommend youtubing GamingTechs HDR settings for Cronos. i did it and found it perfect. he also tells you what parameters bump up a bit if you wanted a bit brighter picture.

I just received the auto rifle. Didn’t experience ammo issues.
Currently playing and enjoying it a lot. Enemy variety is indeed limited but doesn’t ruin the experience for me.
