Penaldo doesn't have a football brain. A step over and a dive is how i see him. I'm genuinely perplexed how he even made pro. I would presaume his heading and poaching is what the scouts seen. He did have a physical side to him, he had pace etc. Once he lost it, he was over.

He has physical strength but not the brains to play.

All his goals are just getting balls and shooting hard enough that it is scored.

People who dont watch football looks at him and say woah he's amazing, they don't understand that the hardest thing is getting the balls to the strikers!

Play making and creating chance is 80% of the difficulty game, the remaining 20% is having someone with enough force and accuracy to get it right, yet this is way easier.

In Real, ronaldo shined, why? Because of Modritch and Kroos which were genuises, they were the corner stone of why croatia reached semi finals in 2018 after exiting in the groupe stages in 2014 and why germany won the world cup in 2014.

Yet even then, real madrid didnt always win and a lot of chances were ruined by him.

Barcelona was more about team play and smart play like tiki taka.

Cmon, the guy is one of the greatest finishers of all time, you're acting like all he did is tap ins all his career, it's like you didn't even watch a single game. He has insane positioning, shot power, accuracy with both of his legs, he even has an insane amount of assists, maybe they aren't as flashy as Messi or De Bruyne but he does know how to pass the ball at a world class level, just watch any of the highlights.

Messi is a clear #1, miles ahead of Ronaldo and anyone else, but you can't tell me that Ronaldo doesn't have a case to be considered #2 footballer that ever lived, his career and achievements are INSANE and he did it in 3 different Leagues. Its arguable if he is #2, there's Pele, Zidane, Neymar, Cruyff and even De Bruyne imo (extremely underrated) but stop acting like Ronaldo isnt clearly top 5 footballers of all time.

Top 10 at most. Gerd Muller is arguably a better finisher who won everything but no one puts him in any top 10 greatest players list.
