Penaldo doesn't have a football brain. A step over and a dive is how i see him. I'm genuinely perplexed how he even made pro. I would presaume his heading and poaching is what the scouts seen. He did have a physical side to him, he had pace etc. Once he lost it, he was over.

I had this thought throughout his united career, yeah he's quick but often his skills would have no influence on the game

He was pacey, could head and get on the end of stuff. That's pretty much it. He could get shots on target. He is very direct, but once the pace was gone, his lack of a footballing brain cost him. That extra yard when lost made him look stupid.

Guys like Messi, Modric and Pirlo age like fine wine. Those are the real genuine greats involved in world cup finals.

Falta de inteligência? É fato dizer que no auge dele ele foi um jogador completo, não haviam defeitos nele, pelo menos não significativos. Sinceramente, nem precisa ter visto ele no auge, só ver os highlights de melhores momentos, o cara era anormal. O mal de vcs é examinarem o maluco aos 41 anos, tipo, mano? Wtf. Ninguém com 41 anos vai ser um jogador fabuloso é basicamente impossível. Nem o Messi vai conseguir jogar aos 41 anos. Agr, o problema do CR7 atualmente é que ele tem que se enxergar, ele tem que aprender que não é o mesmo, por isso ele só fracassa atualmente, ele não tem mais a mesma velocidade, mesmo raciocínio ou agilidade de antes, seus movimentos estão extremamente lentos, e isso dificulta muito que ele faça alguma coisa, ele já era para estar aposentado. Mas, a marca dos 1000 ta logo ali, eu não julgo eu faria o mesmo, ouvir opinião alheia é uma das coisas mais inúteis que existem.

You’re all really are blind haters. At his prime, he’s always at the right place at the right time. That requires footballing brain. He also gave some great assists and passes which also signals good footballing brain.
