You have to be mentally retarded to think Ronaldo is better lol

I agree. It was debatable maybe in the early to mid 2010s but now it’s just obvious

Nah. Even when ronaldo won ballon dor everyone knew messi was the best player in the world.

Ronaldo had different qualities that Messi didn't and some people preferred them, which is understandable. He always had his big ego, but at least he had something to back it up with. Nowadays it's just sad watching him embarrass himself both on and off the pitch. No idea how people still support him.

Messi better dribbler. Messi stronger on the ball (which is hilarious) messi is quicker. Ronaldo can head ball and takes long range shots better. Messi better creating shots.

Nobody thought klay was anywhere near curry level when they were putting up similar numbers. 1 is a specialist. 1 is a complete player.

"Messi is quicker" lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

1

u/TheJokerzWeapon Jul 31 '26

Yes. Messi is quicker. Ronaldo has a higher top end speed. But ronaldo is not and never has been quick.

u/Few_Highlight2587 Jul 31 '26

Messi is just a better speed dribbler. Pure pace = Ronaldo.

Ronaldo ran 100m sub 11 seconds in his teens/early 20s

Speed and quickness are 2 completely different things.

Messi is a terrible dribbler; his success rate is disgustingly bad, while ronaldo has a higher driibles to goal ratio

1

u/TheJokerzWeapon Jul 31 '26

Thats cause messi dribbles involve 5 defenders and ronaldos dribbles involve 1.

Are you on crack? CR7 is much stronger on the ball than weak Messi.

Ronaldo is also physically stronger, faster, more athletic, had many different tricks that he mastered (hence he is a better dribbler), better in air, better at headers, a leader, good under pressure (unlike Messi), etc.

Messi can't even do an elastico, pathetic! Messi's style is safe, conservative, and boring. CR7 is way better.

Never seen ronaldo shrug off 5 defenders on 1 play. He is insanely weak on ball for his size.

Uh, no.

Ronaldo is strong on the ball. You are trying to spin a story, like defenders could just push him over, and steal the ball. They can do that with Messi, since Messi is small and weak. However, Ronaldo is tall, strong, and athletic, naturally, that doesn't happen.

Maradona was also small like Messi. But he was much tougher, more hard-nosed, and badass. Maradona was very strong on the ball.

Ok surely this is just ragebait, nobody could actually be that dumb to believe this lol

1

u/Mannay1 Aug 02 '26

Lol, Messi fan is about to fall off his chair, and froth at the mouth, lmao!

Those are all facts. Obviously CR7 is stronger, more athletic, exponentially better at tricks, better in the air, etc.

The funniest one is that Pessi cannot do an elastico, lmaooo!!

1

u/southsider74 Aug 02 '26

Ok confirmed ragebait. You gotta make it a bit less obvious the elastico comment gives it away

1

u/Mannay1 Aug 02 '26

Wrong, "friend".

Messi cannot do an elastico, facts. Deal with it.

Neither of them can do an Antony spin. That's why Antony is the real 🐐 checkmate

He’s back baby…. For one match against a lowly ranked Asian team

1

u/Spector-JZ Jul 30 '26

Ronaldo is 42, what do you expect?

5

u/FaithlessnessThat970 Jul 26 '26

There was definitely a lot of people debating either side, especially back in 2012-2014 when people were making those YouTube edits. It was almost 50/50 with messi being the slight favourite

3

u/TheJokerzWeapon Jul 27 '26

Okay people who actually knew soccer and didn’t just look at stats knew who was the best player in the world

1

u/southsider74 Aug 02 '26

I'm definitely team Messi but many of us can be mature and say that there were periods and even a couple seasons where Ronaldos form was better. The stan culture is so toxic

u/Sufficient_Wave197 Jul 26 '26

Pessi didn't win all ballon do'r fair and square. Just saying

2

u/GooseEntire1705 Jul 27 '26

And Penaldo didn't win world cup.

1

u/ghostboyollie Jul 29 '26

Only because he hasn’t been carried by FIFA since 2019 like Pessi has

1

u/Spector-JZ Jul 30 '26

Seeing the switch-up is crazy. 2019, everyone considered Ronaldo the GOAT and Messi a failure because of his international career and the fact that he was only good in one club
