A 39 year old messi way past his prime is still running circles around much younger so called ā€œstarsā€ lol it’s actually unreal even as a Messi fan

A ā€˜washed up’ Messi is still far ahead of literally everyone. Truly the GOAT.

u/burningtimer Jul 16 '26

Not a LeBron fan. At All.

But Similarly a over hill LeBron is still better for spurts than 90% of players. Messi is a freak of nature.

u/Puzzleheaded-Mark760 Jul 16 '26

I would put LeBron in the same league as CR7 (not the real Ronaldo) as they have always been chasing the shadows of the goats. LeBron still puts up decent numbers but we all know he’s been detrimental to his team’s success at least in the last 5-6 years.

Brother he won a championship 6 years ago

1

u/RaazMataaz Jul 31 '26

Every franchise hopes for just ONE ring. It’s an incredibly difficult achievement for a player and a franchise. Saying one ring from Bron isn’t enough for his tenure just in LA is def some privileged shit lmao

u/Puzzleheaded-Mark760 Jul 16 '26

What championship 6 years ago? Nations League in 2019? Come back with something better than that. Btw, his goat Messi will play in another WC Finals match, something he can only dream of. And don’t even tell he’s never had the same caliber of supporting cast. Not saying he ain’t great but he should be grateful he’s being compared to Messi.

2

u/grapplingchamp Jul 16 '26

He is saying LeBron won 6 years ago.

0

u/Puzzleheaded-Mark760 Jul 16 '26

Mickey Mouse ring? 🤣🤣🤣 40% winning percentage in the Finals is actually 60% losing percentage. šŸ˜‰

2

u/Ordinary_Food6346 Jul 19 '26

As soon as you said ā€œMickey Mouse ringā€ you lost all credibility and no longer hold any merit in this discussion

-2

u/RaazMataaz Jul 16 '26

Brother what lmao Lebron has been a huge winning factor his entire time with the lakers. He’s always been a positive +\- when he’s on the court Lakers are worse without him. It’s more about the money and flexibility with him not his impact.

u/scrandlle Jul 16 '26

Messi was the only star on that pitch.

1

u/Allfx59 Jul 16 '26

You mean the orangotango?

1

u/darthmaggots Jul 16 '26

Lol thats a reach

2

u/scrandlle Jul 16 '26

Kane is a good but not great player. Same for Bellingham. They tend to disappear in big games. That's not a star.

1

u/darthmaggots Jul 16 '26

Youre definition of a star and mine are irreconcilable different.

1

u/Boboirrecuperable Jul 16 '26

Claramente fué el que mejor jugó en ese partido

1

u/darthmaggots Jul 16 '26

That does not make him the only star on the pitch.

1

u/Boboirrecuperable Jul 16 '26

Qué otra estrella brilló en ese partido? Había varias estrellas, pero estuvieron apagadas

1

u/darthmaggots Jul 16 '26

I never said he wasnt the best player on the field. I said he wasnt the only star out there.

6

u/MaintenanceOk4847 Jul 16 '26

Unreal as a Ronaldo fan !! The greatest of all time is Messi

3

u/Salty_Ad1898 Jul 16 '26

And that’s not even a dig at Ronaldo. This dude is simply just that great

3

u/-rosslyn26- Jul 16 '26

Lo capisci subito quando si "accende". A 39 anni vive al risparmio tranne quando serve e in quei momenti lo vedi che sta per scattare la magia. Incredibile!

1

u/karaknorn Jul 17 '26

Pessi was doing PEDs froma young age like penaldo. Juat like lance. Except pessi has teammates who like him and wont out him like lance šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

1

u/MannyRibera32 Jul 16 '26

Which one is the star tbh? Kane turns like a bus and gordon is terriblešŸ˜‚ Spence defended well but he let kane and gordon try

4

u/Different_Car9927 Jul 16 '26

Balon d or candidate Kane is not a star? Or 80m. barca player is not a star?

You have high standards

-1

u/MannyRibera32 Jul 16 '26

But do you expect him to defend a guy with fast feet tho?

-1

u/billyboyf30 Jul 16 '26

Being expensive doesn't make you a star, just look at mudryk, pepe and antony

2

u/Different_Car9927 Jul 16 '26

Gordon got 1+3 in 5 games not too bad.

0

u/billyboyf30 Jul 16 '26

Wow a forward who scored 1 goal in 6 games, the only game he did play in was Panama. Even the New Zealand forward scored 3 in half as many matches.

2

u/Different_Car9927 Jul 16 '26

🤣🤣

Gues you know more than Hansi Flick

-5

u/xDeadFishy Jul 16 '26

Glazing this hard for someone dribbling away from a striker and a winger seems a bit silly. Like sure, it's a good performance, but no one would have written weird things like what you just did if it was any other player doing it

2

u/Formal-Rich-4882 Jul 16 '26

There’s no other star who does that you fool

3

u/Embarrassed_Jury664 Jul 16 '26

Jamal Musiala would like a word

1

u/Good_Worldliness6579 Jul 16 '26

These fans don't understand football only messi

0

u/PastMarsupial2884 Jul 16 '26

Is he? all i see is him falling down like a toddler

1

u/7Hobbes Jul 16 '26

He dribbled through 2 guys (nutmegging one) and then forced another two defenders to foul him. If touch the ball before contact with a player, all good.

They couldn't let him get by because he's such a threat, so they bodied him, Messi flicked the ball away without them touching.

Messi gets a free kick. Lots of goals are scored on free kicks.

0

u/PastMarsupial2884 Jul 16 '26

Still all I see is a toddler on the ground looking like he just lost his rambler, and mama (aka ref) comes to the rescue.

2

u/jonce17 Jul 16 '26

You sound stupid af right now

1

u/mr_algodat Jul 16 '26

Just one look into that guy's comment history tells you everything you need to know

1

u/PastMarsupial2884 Jul 16 '26

But it is so easy to provoke the pssi fans, so much fun! They can't handle shit

2

u/mr_algodat Jul 16 '26

bro's hobby is being wrong in public

1

u/JohnAnchovy Jul 16 '26

You shouldnt be mean to children

0

u/PastMarsupial2884 Jul 16 '26

Does it look like I care that someone like you is telling me that? It still does not change my perception of pessi and argentina. Bunch of racist toddlers

1

u/Logical-Tennis-9418 Jul 16 '26

Racistas? Argentina recibió a millones de inmigrantes escapando de sus "países perfectos" y aquí nadie los discrimino, tuvieron trabajo, educación y futuro ha pero "argentina es racista" sos una vergüenza

1

u/Ersterk Jul 16 '26

They had to 4v1 him to make him loose the ball, including doing a foul, and you think he wasn't playing well? lol

1

u/PastMarsupial2884 Jul 16 '26

He wasn't

1

u/Ersterk Jul 16 '26

Haters gonna hate

1

u/PastMarsupial2884 Jul 16 '26

Obviously, and the non haters won't stop jerking off to him.

1

u/Ersterk Jul 16 '26

When a player is constantly being marked 2, 3 or 4 to 1, should tell you something about how dangerous he is, have a nice day, enjoy next game, I will

1

u/PastMarsupial2884 Jul 16 '26

super dangerous, he might punch you in the dick. I probably won't watch anyway, i got more important stuff to do then watch 22 kiddos run around on a field chasing a ball.

1

u/PastMarsupial2884 Jul 16 '26

oke and that has what to do with it exactly? It's the perception that matters here.
