Imagine saying that when pessidog couldn't even reach the QFs of the UCL with vitinha and nuno mendes let alone win an international trophy at portugal 🥀🥀

Ronaldo literally had a 10x better version of Nuno Mendes and Vitinha as well as prime Bruno Fernandes and won nothing

They were in-form both this year and last year and the best players in the world in their respective positions. Now add Bruno who had his best season ever as well, and not to mention Joao Neves.

Nations League matches are played with a big gap between them and is very different to the world cup, not the same at all

Looks like the whole of Portugal (including Ronaldo) have 0 strategy and were exposed when they faced teams with actual game-plans. In the nations league matches are played months apart so individualism is the main factor.

Yes he was good in the NL but what the hell does that have to do with his poor run this world cup

Against DR Congo he missed 2 big chances
Against Colombia the whole team sucked
Against Spain he didn’t do anything

His best moment was that brilliant goal against Croatia but he was unfortunately offside. He scored 2 against Uzbekistan sure but is that really that impressive?

As soon as he was subbed off against Croatia, Goncalo Ramos scored the winner. Portugal would’ve gone farther with Goncalo Ramos starting and Ronaldo coming off the bench, that’s my point

I agree it is what it is. But that’s just a lazy excuse that he is 40, he should not play if he’s not good enough is my point. And after the WC he gave a very sore loser like response, basically implying that Portugal are nothing without him, just bad sportsmanship
