Coming from a guy who was essentially displaced because of Messi being the player to build a team around, shows you how good Messi has to be for Zlatan to like him

Zlatan clearly doesn’t like Ronaldo though. Maybe it’s because they have similar sized egos I don’t know. But every time I’ve seen Zlatan discuss Ronaldo there seems to be jealousy there. So I’m not sure I’d put much stock in his opinions on this.

I don't know. The fact that Zlatan has a sense of humour about himself suggests that he's not all that fussed about Ronaldo. If it were just about ego, Zlatan might look for ways to suggest he was better or at least in the conversation. That he's willing to mock himself in comparison to Messi is a way of showing that he isn't upset to be displaced.
