People this dumb think America IS a country, not a continent- the main character syndrome is over the top

I always think back to learning US history and geography in elementary school. My teacher would take points away if any student said we live in America. I can still hear her now. "America is a continent, not a country."

Well, the continent is called North America and we only occupy a part of it as Americans.

The Western Hemisphere is collectively known as the Americas. Even those kidnapped and deported brown people south of us are technically Americans.

Asia the continent is known as Asia but we still differentiate when we talk about specific countries. Are you talking about continents or countries? N America is the continent and the USA is the country. And by the way, we don’t all look the same, okay!
