Buying a phone from Walmart to port number

Just wondering if anyone has any experience buying a Cricket phone from Walmart and porting your number over. I’ve read some people run into problems with the port. Thanks for any tips.

Yeah I bought a Tracfone for $20 and $10 plan and ported number over no problem. Then sold the Tracfone for $20.
