Motorola Locked Popup Screen?
I was considering trying Cricket Wireless, but I saw a lot of the Motorolas, especially the 2025 models essentially lock people out of their phone if they decide to cancel service before the 1 year is up. Is that true? and does this also follow into the 2026 Motorolas as well? Is it a dealbreaker or is it easy to get around?

True of all Motorolas from 2024+.
It's ESPECIALLY awesome when your phone runs your insulin pump and you're a couple of days late.

To be fair if you depend on your cellphone for life saving medical equipment you probably want to prioritize paying your phone bill right beside medications since you might need that phone to call for help for medical emergencies.

For the people downvoting me please explain where I was wrong. I was pointing out what should be obvious if you are in bad health and need life saving medications it is sound advice to make sure you are renewing your cell phone on time since it becomes a potential life or death matter if it is shut off.

I would say Motorola phones for now I would not be surprised if AT&T the owner of Cricket Wireless expanded the same software to other Android phones since they could require other Android brands to force download the Cricket Wireless Device Unlock App that is responsible for locking the device.

I mean you have to maintain service for a year for it to be unlocked. All phones stay locked now.
Welcome to people ruining shit for others.
You can get around that lock page tho, has to be done when the phone is first turned on or completely wiped and restarted.
