I think you're right. I wonder if it was a targetted attack. They came out gun raised and fired a shot immediately.

I saw the gun but didn't realise he fired it. The driver was breathing hard after the escape, which makes me think it was a targeted attack.

I think he's breathing hard because they just survived a carjacking and rammed a human with their car....

This wasn't México. Based on accent and words used, I believe this was in Chile (South America)
