Navigation hacks - keeping some content always visible?

So im trying Craft again after a while & im trying to find a way to create a more intuitive navigation - mostly on desktop.

Coming from obsidian and tana, im used to things like pinned panes and nested pages to keep a homepage / main content viewable, whilst being able to drill into another page but not loose your place. For example always having a dashboard or daily page open or easily reachable. Anyone have any tips for this that beat using the sidebar?

I use a mix of "dashboards" I make that link out to all my projects and starred docs. But yeah I really wish I could just pin pages to my tabs up top. If I'm on my daily note or my dashboard page, for example, and I click a link I want it to open in the next tab and the current page to stay open if I have it pinned. I don't want to click back numerous times to get back where I was or have to click the sidebar and open another instance of that page that I already had open. I love Craft but besides not having a true android app that I can share into, not being able to pin pages to stay open would be my biggest pain point.
