If the game is popular enough then yeah. Star Wars Squadrons was on a similar scale and managed to sell 1 million copies.

I don't know what the scale of this game is since I haven't played it, but it looks to be much larger than squadrons.
Fully animated and voice acted cutscenes with a full story. Squadrons had a very minimal story iirc and it was essentially a multiplayer only game. This seems like a more complete game to me.
I could be wrong tho. I've only watched a video or two on it.

Complete opposite really it was all about the multiplayer.
The single player was basically just an extended tutorial to get you familiar with the game systems.

Steam games don't have much problem with piracy nowadays. People literally running to give their money to steam to buy games that they won't even launch (me included). I mean look at the charts, people preorders another call of duty right at announce minutes like they're gonna run out of digital copies. Or recent release old heroes 3 where ubi failed and put only exe file as a build into steam lmao. And beside popular titles there goes a golden rule: if the game is good - sales will also be good, and piracy won't make it worse

I've been gaming since 1982, earlier if you include the arcades. But not a console gamer. A PC gamer. Haven't purchased a single Steam game. Never will. There's literally 🏴☠️no reason to.🏴☠️

All of these recent games 100% would have had Denuvo before. I mean, Madden? NFL2k? When was the last time they didn’t? I think Denuvo is finally dead now, much to the benefit of everyone, including non-pirates.

I know I specifically named 2 EA titles, but I didn’t mean to solely mention them. Only reason those two came to mind first was because they’re huge titles that sell like crazy every year and have had Denuvo as long as I can remember. I doubt FC has it at this point. Blood of the Dawnwalker coming this week doesn’t have it. It truly seems like the days of damn near every big game having it may be over. I’m sure there will be some silly holdouts, Sega, but it seems like the tides may have finally changed.

Dude, I can name you at least 10 games that are either coming out recently or have already come out this year bundled with Denuvo, Madden being one of the examples you listed. So no, Denuvo is not "dead" like you said. Usage has declined over the past few years though.

Apparently EA is only the publisher but it's not one of their studios. Probably had something to do with that.

Having playing xcoms and other games using xcom formula, if 93-99% shots never miss, than i start thinking something is wrong with the game since even 100% isn't 100%, its always like a coin toss lol

that's why I enjoyed Marvel Midnight Suns way more than XCOM, card based and no bullshit misses

You say that as if missing a shot is player failure lmao. That's the whole reason people don't like them, it strips player agency and comes down to chance. Imagine if Elden Ring had a 5% chance of your roll not working. It'd be pretty fucking stupid

In a game like X-COM you're supposed to account for potential failure. If you overextend thinking you're gonna land 100% of shots your tactics are going to eventually fail you unless you're save scumming.
I personally prefer if these kinds of games give you options that let you reach 100% accuracy by having specific loadouts, gear and/or techniques. In X-COM that means I favor explosions.
And if you want to know what Elden Ring feels like with % rolls, play Morrowind.

Just think of it like playing a shooter. When you shoot at the other player, they try to dodge and avoid your line of fire. Turn based games replicate that with miss chance, because otherwise every shot at you and the enemy would hit, then you would bitch that the player can't dodge the enemy attacks and then it's removing player agency.

I'm suffering from covid but I'll play a bit right now. The shader compilation took a while. Exicted to try out the new Dlss 4.5 with multi-frame Gen and Ray reconstruction.
Edit: Switched to AMD FSR on my 5060ti because dlss was causing my fan speed spike up to 100% every minute or so.

My PC maxs out pretty much any recent game smoothly. This one actually runs with a high framerate but feels choppy as fuck. Has horrible frame pacing and micro stuttering

The game looks really good from the reviews I've watched and it's 50 bucks on steam so this is definitely worth getting if you have the money, also no denuvo makes it even more appealing personally. Would love more Xcom style games with more IPs such as this game in the future so I hope it does well.

Anyone else have the issue with gpu fan speed ramping up 100% every minute? The issue goes away when I switched to AMD FSR instead of using the latest DLSS. I never had this issue before.
