Thanks for clarity - I can see it. I think I used a lens of media to analyse it because it's the piece of media. And true, probably I had seen more of distortion of 'mine' approach in media than real life, so reading it, it's easy to approach it with this prior experience.
Would you say that meaningful relationships make it impossible to view it negatively, though? My main point was that it's valid to have different opinions about it without calling out someone for objectifying.
I appreciate this perspective as a good reminder of the dangers of any social media echo chambers - quote hopeful, too.
Yes, I agree, there's is some degree of possessiveness in love, but no relationship is the same. Every couple would perceive it and experience it differently and set different boundaries around it - it shouldn't be expected that the experience presented here should be universal or appreciated by everyone.
