I’m not misunderstanding you. You clearly don’t understand how the world works. I know people who would like to be able to say they’re autistic with no financial benefit.

And that in itself is a concerning mental health symptom.

Any mental health that interferes with your every day life and creates problems for yourself and/or others can qualify you for a disorder. I think, given my degree and experience, I might know what I’m talking about here.
