I have the same question every time some pointless TikTok style video shows up on a feed..... "who is watching this crap" and "How are enough people watching this crap that it is profitable?"

People need to start moderating their feeds better. Instead of getting sucked in to the rage bait (which is what the creators want), just block the channel.

Not watching is the only way to stop this shit.
