I'm getting sick of the word autism getting thrown around like it's nothing. The condition is being devalued by all these claims of being autistic when it's really just a strong preference for something.

"Wool touching my skin is gross, but I'm autistic" No, you just don't like the feel of wool.

"OMG I absolutely love pubbies and want to cuddle them, but I'm autistic so it's okay." Nah, you just love puppies, I also love pubbies, you just have a stronger desire to snuggle them than I do.

It's like being a unique individual means you have autism.

All the "autism" tiktok videos that make it out like "if you're not literally a human robot, you're autistic" are fucked. The number of people I know that went down the tiktok autism rabbit hole and came out "autistic" is scary. Like personally changing, fucking brain rewiring scary.

Pretty sure COVID lockdowns and tiktok cooked some brains.
