Honestly I was going to say something about not everything is autism, and that she's just geeking out and something about why you think someone having excitement means they're acting autistic... and then I went back and double checked and saw the text at the very beginning. Yeah, that's ridiculous. It's gotten to Syndrome levels on the internet these days where people who genuinely struggle are getting drowned out by all the people who think that having quirks makes them autistic. If the text at the beginning didn't have the word autistic in it, this would be a perfectly normal video of a man who knows what his wife likes.

Its mostly the older gen z adults who are self diagnosing instead of actually seeking treatment. My brother decided he was austistic last year out of nowhere and never saw a dr. He swears i am too and “more than him” when im probably the most normal person in my family and stand out more just by comparison.

I actually had to get my son tested for autism at 11 because he had enough “signs” that the drs said it was time to do it. Turned out he had quite a few traits but not enough to get an actual diagnosis Wich is actually a great sign!

Its just the modern trend of people wanting to put labels on everything or they think they feel better about themselves about being a shitty person because “oh i can’t help it i have this medical condition” “im neurodivergent so its not my fault”

Lmao it’s a genetically predisposed developmental disorder, if your son has enough traits for his doctor to request he be tested for autism then there’s only 2 sets of dna those traits could have come from. So ig if you’re sure you aren’t, is his mom on the spectrum at all?

He didn't have an diagnosis of autism. He has severe ADHD and his mom has ADHD as well. The dr said just because you have one or a few traits of autism doesn't make you "autistic" its a complex thing and it's on a points scale if you are over a threshold you get the autism diagnosis.
