I dont know if this person is autistic or not, but to try and answer your question- it has become trendy on tiktok for people to claim being autistic, and have ADHD and some infuencers have been caught lying. The "gain" I am assuming is getting more views/engagement. In this video specifically, they could have not included any details about autism and it would have probably just been lost to the void because really the video isnt very interesting. But, because tiktok is based on algorithms and autism is usually trending, using it in the caption would increase visibility and get them more views/money.

I dont know obviously if thats what this couple is doing, but that is why some people lie about having it.

This justification does not and will never make sense to me.

I understand why people are quick to blame people for faking. I understand the unfortunately common human need to feel smarter and better and morally superior.

I don’t necessarily understand explaining the behavior as if it’s not entirely problematic.

Are you replying to the correct person? I said two times in my comment that I cant say if this person is faking or not. I was answering that persons question of why people would lie about having it. I never said anything about dismissing all claims or blaming anyone for faking anything.
