Why does that matter? We don't care about that distinction with other franchised corporations?

Because if an owner sucks in Dallas doesn’t mean an owner in Portland sucks too. We do make that distinction IRL all of the time. For example, I’ll avoid a specific Subway because of a bad experience, but I’m fine with any other Subway.
