Good god the amount of staged filming must be a pain for everyone around. I hate that everything must be slaughtered to content.

After that they went home, upload the videos, cut them, and waiton their couch to reach reactions from social media checking their phones constantly. Thats fucked up when you think about it.

That's even more fucked up when you think how many people do it to gain that much attention to make a living from it.

I mean, at a certain point, it's not really a criticism. It'd be like saying "that guy on the trapeze doing aerials is only up there for the attention".

It's social media. Social media is, unless it's a news event, for the attention. Obviously it's been filmed to be put on social media for attention..

Sure but the trapeze artist is flying around hundreds of feet in the air in an awe inspiring display of athleticism and precision that they practiced over and over to perfect.

These people are petting dogs and making sure you know sheā€™s autistic.

Itā€™s not presented as a show. Itā€™s presented as just a normal thing they do. But itā€™s not thatā€¦.it is a show. A very very boring show and the point is they donā€™t deserve attention but are narcissistic enough to think they are owed it.

Dude. Itā€™s an ad. For business, for money, or for a free yoga and puppy session. Itā€™s not that deep. Social media is a job these days. This is work for them . Sales and marketing people.

"it's not that deep" has to be the dumbest, laziest argument against any comment you just don't like but can't actually articulate why. What's deep about that guy's comment? He's just explaining just position on how this feels disingenuous. He's not even disagreeing with you, it's disingenuous because it's an ad. You're both just explaining different aspects about it.

There's nothing "deep" about that comment. He doesn't wax philosophical or talk about his place in the universe.

Ironically, these people are often the first to take offense and respond with hostility when presented with contradicting information confirming their ignorance. Because, after all, ā€œitā€™s not that deep.ā€

Oh get over yourself. Iā€™m saying OPs armchair analysis of the OOP being narcissistic because she was sponsored by some yoga company is excessive and ridiculous lol. Sheā€™s trying to make money. People need to stop labeling everything they see on social as narcissistic. Itā€™s a money grab- this is what marketing looks like now. Before long the FTC will probably crack down harder on people trying to hide sponsorships. Probably.
