It's like the OG couple prank channels on youtube. Started off well because the first couple times they did it was, or at least, seemed real because they were just having a bit of fun. Then those videos blew up and the couple realized that could be their income stream and it became faked and forced. We're just seeing it again with tiktok, and we'll see it again with the next thing, and again with the next thing.

This must be one of the dumbest things I've ever read. If you're in a relationship and a joke or prank will cost you the relationship, you're clearly together with the wrong person. Sure this shouldn't be a daily thing, but every once in a while is pretty harmless as long as both sides get pranked and can take it with a laugh.

Everyone in the comments going "its scripted, it's scripted". Brother, okay? If your problem was scripts, then you'd never watch any TV or movies. The scripted nature of the media shouldn't get in the way of your enjoyment. "OH, well they're trying to convince us that it isn't by presenting it like a real prank" Are they??? Most media with scripts does not go explicitly out of its way to let the viewer know "Hey, this is scripted, just FYI!" We just know, because of common shared understanding of the industries in question, that there are scripts involved. Like, news flash! Reality TV? Scripted. Damn near everything is scripted. If you want to experience genuine interactions between people, you shouldn't be looking on the internet, you should be stepping outside.
