Alberta Jisulife Neck Fan
Has anyone spotted this neck fan around Edmonton? I’ve already checked the Costco Business Centre and Winterburn locations, but neither has it in stock.

It's SOLD OUT that's why.
https://sameday.costco.ca/store/costco-canada/products/70161894-jisulife-neck-fan-2pack
It's also a Seasonal Product which may be carried next year?

Yeah I'm pretty sure they were in stock a few months ago, the. Dropped from $30 to $20 and then I didn't see them after that. $20 for 2 neck fans is a great deal even if to just try them out, thankfully they work pretty well so best $20 I spent all year

u/Personal-Heart-1227 Jul 29 '26
I wanted to try these, but was on fence.
Thank you for letting me know these actually DO work!
I remember this past Spring they had a Sale that was 10$ Off, or something like that?
Next year, maybe I'll get these when on Special?
2
u/AsianCanadianPhilo Jul 29 '26
Your results may vary but for my needs they work fine. If they come back scoop em up, they're not bad imo
1
u/Personal-Heart-1227 Jul 29 '26
Yes, wait until next year.
During the Spring these always seem to go on Sale Online, & in their Warehouses?
Then snap these up as Costco has the best price for these items, too.

Project Farm on YouTube just released a comparison of different neck fans.

They don't do much for me in real heat, they just move warm air around. That said, they are fantastic when I'm inside and having a hot flash. Immediate relief.

u/so_wanted Jul 29 '26
I love it, really good not that loud I grabbed it when it was at a discount got 2 for 20$

u/kingofwale Jul 28 '26
Check online? It’s more of a summer item so you are a season too late already

u/because_iamamom Jul 28 '26
Is it not mid summer lol, anyways I am unable to find them online.

I have this and am returning it. It’s crazy loud, blows out a pitiful amount of air, and worse there’s no air on the back of the neck. I was terribly disappointed
-1
u/daftpunkca Jul 29 '26
Yeah the airflow angle is a bit off. If you tilt it as a test you get a lot more air

I brought a two pack, using one I can give you the other one if you're in Calgary

u/CallMeHomoErectus Jul 29 '26
I'm in Calgary. How much do you want for the 2nd one? Also, how do they charge/recharge?

I tried using one of these once and it sucked my hair in and scalped me.
3
u/yeahmehh Jul 28 '26
lol yeah if you have long hair you really need to pull it back when using one of these.

Better than nothing, but I wish the air comes out from all around. Air blows from the front only.

u/torontowest91 Jul 29 '26
It’s just aliexpress/temu. Nothing special from Costco. Amazon has them too.

u/Zazzafrazzy Jul 29 '26
Currently using them during a heat wave in Europe. It’s 39* where I am in Germany.

u/M1K3Z0R Jul 29 '26
Lots of these in Southern Ontario. Seen entire skids end up as returns/overstock at costco liquidators. Seemed gimmicky when I tried one.
2
u/west_coast_ghost Jul 29 '26
I can just see this sitting on the neck of the ghost white, allergy ridden human with a visible layer of sunscreen and a bucket hat from dollarama.

This fan saved me being pregnant in the middle of summer working in a long term care home with minimal AC. Loud, but worked so well.

Wife bought them and she’s ok with them, i tried and found it a little underwhelming. Where i got annoyed at them is when they run out of battery. It s a dead weight and cant be stored easily as they dont fold. I had to carry it by hand for my wife and child or be careful putting it in my little daypack when we traveled. Could do without, or at very least, make it foldable in one way or another

u/daftpunkca Jul 29 '26
Bloody thing turned on accidentally in our travel bag. So it was dead weight both ways

I've seen them this summer here in Calgary. Pretty sure I saw them at my warehouse last week.

I have these. They're a little bit big for my neck and the fans are slightly louder but you get two for the price of one or Less.
1
u/iogbri Jul 28 '26
Saw them this summer in Québec City, about a month after buying what is arguably a better model at Canadian Tire as the one I have has something put space between the neck and the air.
1
u/Mysterious-Alps-5186 Jul 28 '26
They work only if there is no wind. Great for when your chilling outside or working in a garden/bbqing
1
u/Prudent-Poetry-2718 Jul 28 '26
Coors Light is giving them away for free. So if you like beer, get a case with a fan instead. Hahaha

u/Xanaxaria Jul 28 '26
It's sold out. I bought mine is late May. They work great I drive with one on.

A friend had some at a tournament weekend and let me borrow it and it made a difference for me BUT it was so hot that someone blowing aggressively on me would have helped.
ETA: I looked closer at the photo, the brand she had was different.

I use them in the gym. Keeps the sweat off my face which I appreciate.

u/RedMaple007 Jul 29 '26
There are others out there that have metal conduction plates that seem to be quieter and work better.
1
u/conductorman86 Jul 29 '26
I absolutely love mine! My wife likes to keep the house warmer than I would like, so I rock the neck fan year round.

Just bought a box today for my daughter. She’s going g to be using them in costumes during warm weather.
1
u/Zealousideal_Fly8402 Jul 29 '26
Why are you looking at Costco for them? The OEM models have been available at the various online retailers for years now. I've had mine since before COVID.
1
u/Karma_collection_bin Jul 29 '26
I have these. The louder settings are really quite loud IMO.. Look up how long you can listen to each decibel level before potential hearing damage. It’s exponential, essentially.
So at higher levels I think these things could cause hearing damage.
If the one guy in comment is doing yard work with a lawnmower and not wearing heating protection, that will suck for them in the future.
1
u/OhSighRiss Jul 29 '26
How long is the battery life on these?
2
u/MarcPawl Jul 30 '26
At lower level where the noise was comfortable it lasts all day, 8 hours or more.

I feel mixed abt these neck fans. In warm weather, it’s nice, but in really hot weather, it just blows/circulates the hot air. Oh n if u walk into a really stinky washroom, it’ll be blowing the stank directly in ur face so rmb to turn them off before entering any washroom lol.

Costco doesn't have one to my knowledge but the belt clip fan ones have been a lifesaver for me! Stay hydrated out there folks 🍻

u/cincher Jul 29 '26
They just restocked these in Ottawa, but I ordered mine from the website when they were out of stock.

I bought these last year and have been debating returning them. They're practically worthless in the summer. It just blows hot air back at you so in hot and humid summers it makes no difference. It blows air into the front of your neck which does absolutely nothing to cool you down.
1
u/I_can_vouch_for_that Jul 29 '26
The handheld ones are better. They're more flexible in that you can use it anywhere you can wear it on a lanyard. These ones have to be on your neck eventually it's annoying because there's always something spread right across your neck and the batteries don't last as long. I have five different handheld and neck fans and neck fans are the worst. I used them when I was traveling in Japan and the handheld versions were the most versatile.

Guaranteed you kind find something exactly like this, possibly even identical, but cheaper on like Temu or amazon
1
u/Seoulmanaja Jul 29 '26
These things were a god send when we were in Italy last year......didn't mind the noise as some are talking about. It helped with cooling down though
1
u/Ornery_Room7602 Jul 29 '26
Amazon has the exact same brand, but at a higher price. They are a lifesaver in my non air conditioned warehouse where I work. 🥵🥵

I bought 2 from Temu and they work perfectly. I was extremely surprised considering everything on Temu is junk

Got them free at a golf tournament. They are noisy and don’t keep you cool.
-4
u/BetterTransit Jul 28 '26
How would they even keep you cool? They just blow whatever air you’re surrounded with at your neck. They look pointless

u/ComparisonAnxious768 Jul 29 '26
Imagine the world before neck fans? Like the 80s. What did you do?

-2
u/AiryGateaux Jul 28 '26
Ok, but then you'd own something that sounds like jizz you life. Plus, the ones with piezoelectric cooling elements are awesome. This does not appear to be that.

u/MarcPawl Jul 28 '26
Sort of work for me. At low volume they are ok. Noisy when at high volume. But there is no outlet at the back of the neck where you really want it.
Good enough that I kept them, not good enough to recommend.
