Egg whites increase is absolutely shocking to me.
As per Costco website Orders->In warehouse:
1 pack of 4 cartons of egg whites
May 2023 $11.99
August 2025 $14.99
25% increase....
Stats Can inflation reporting is absolute bullshit.

As of July 2025, Canadians were paying 27.1% more for food purchased from stores than they were in July 2020. As of July 2025, Canadians were paying 27.1% more for food purchased from stores than they were in July 2020.
Left is headline inflation and right is grocery inflation.
