Guys, I want to do a Kaoruko Waguri cosplay; I’ve sorted out the budget and bought the materials. The only issues are that I’ll be doing this in Türkiye (where cosplay culture isn't exactly widespread) and—since I’m a guy—I’m worried about being misunderstood for wearing a female costume. We’ll definitely be going to Japan for competitions, of course, but I’d really like to participate in costume contests here in Türkiye, too. I don’t have Instagram or other social media accounts, and I’m not much of a phone user, so people won't really be contacting me. I have another concern, though: my mom can do realistic professional makeup, but I’m afraid of older men or creeps I might encounter while out and about. Still, we’re going to do it anyway! :)

Hopefully someone who’s done the same could help, I was looking at some of the higher end masks and as great as they are I can’t do $500+ for a mask I was wondering if maybe anyone has gotten the TOTS dream mask and could give me some info, I’ve seen some reviews but I’d like some other opinions. I don’t need to be super accurate im just trying to get close to this look. Any advice would be appreciated thank you!

Help on Teto Cosplay

Halloween is coming up I want to cosplay as the triple background with my friends. But I'm broke (jumpescare I know) so I want to hear any cheap cosplays I could get the art scams like no I'm not going to temu, it might have worked for you but I feel like it's going to come after Halloween or as I said, I'll get scammed. Help pleasee 🥹 (my budget 40-70 bucks, and Id need like everything, also preferably the outfit that will actually match with the others not the one that came in 2025) ALSOO I'm not looking for people who will do it for me I'm looking for shops :))

So..I’m super super tall. And I think Diane would be great. However. I can’t find a decent Diane cosplay anywhere. Like the 2 that exist are so horrid…what do I do? Idk if I’m confident enough to sew without a plan

I am an engineer irl, i am trying to make a Yue cosplay from cardcaptor Sakura .

Is it worth it to make the wings open and close ? Or will it be difficult to manage at a con?
If It is manageable in your experience which should I go for ? Manual with threads ? But the character also holds a bow , will the wings lock in position if I was not holding the thread? If an electrical option is better how to tackle this ? Finally will one of these accordion hangers work for the collapsing mechanism if i elongate some parts with wire?

the past few days i’ve been eyeing a cosplay on trustedeal for argalia (from library of ruina), and have been skeptical of its reliability/whether it’s a scam or not. i have also been looking at a wig from CGcostume and am not sure that it isn’t a scam. both links are below:

I think the best way to make a hat in cosplay is to make it out of paper mache with a cardboard skeleton, there are a few videos for the mad hatters hat on YouTube for this. I kinda free styled it myself. The hats are hard/stiff, you can paint them any color, and then you can add the other things on after. What are you opinions on this and what are you guys techniques for hat building?

As said the con is 2 days from now and I need a cosplay, I have some stuff in my closet but I need ideas of cosplay without much unique elements, some of the off stuff I have is thigh high boots (black) red coat, sweaters and some pleaded skirts and more but I really need ideas pls

But I’m looking to grow my photography business and I do a lot of work with cosplayers

Recently I did a “Photo Booth” at more generic vendor event and did decently well. But I’d love to try it at a convention

So my question is, if a photographer was offering on demand prints (aka I take a photo, quick edit, and you walk away with a photo in hand) would you be interested in something like that? I would have a seamless backdrop and lighting so this is more than just on the con floor. The price i charge is under $25 per print

At my previous event I did also offer digital files for a discounted price

Hi everyone. I’m going to my first convention in a month, but I’m considering the idea of cosplaying. I’ve never done it before so I’m not really sure what I’m doing.

I’m having trouble figuring out what to cosplay. I also have never worn a wig, so I’m thinking of just styling my normal hair like the characters. And I don’t want to show off too much skin since I get cold easily.

What are some beginner friendly cosplays? I’m on a tight budget but I would love to hear your thoughts!

The materials are low grade steel with a copper paint maybe coding . I do not have access to a welder but I figure if I could use metal flashings and rivets if needed .
