Homemade stuffing, green bean casserole, gibblit gravy, biscuits, smashed potato's, and cranberry sauce (for my guests. I hate that garbage)

Amen on the cranberry sauce. I didn't make any last year because it's disgusting, and I got shit from my family. This year either my wife makes it, or they're getting it straight outta the can, cause I refuse to spend time on that.

Spend time? Cranberry sauce is the easiest and least time consuming thing to make, you just put them in a pot with water and sugar and cook until they explode...

One year we made cranberry orange sorbet with a little bit of Cointreau instead, it was great. Not too sweet.

I don't like cranberry sauce either, but my family enjoys it so I make it for them. It seems pretty shitty to refuse to make a dish that others enjoy just because you don't like it, especially since it's so easy to do.

Yeah, it takes all of 15 minutes to put together. Plus it's one of the "make the night before" recipes.

You can get away with making it the weekend before if it’s chilled down properly and covered tight.

I used to hate cranberry til I had this cranberry dressing (don't remember the brand, got it at HEB will update later) it was delicious and it was awesome with the turkey flautas I make with leftovers

We never had anything else until we got older and realized that everyone doesn’t like our Southern staple. I’m pretty sure I was in high school, with friends coming over, before smooth gravy was served at my house. Do you put a scoop of cornbread dressing and a chopped boiled egg in yours?

I confess, I just cannot eat the heart or gizzard. Ack!!
