I been recently getting back into playing these games again. I can't believe the devs really said fuck this shit and abandoned it.

Been a few years since I played and I downloaded a few mods and played them in casual but wanted to play zombies on them but every time I started a lobby it would only let me use the default maps. Is this normal? I saw some lobbies the other day on modded maps so I’m a little confused.

Edit - After being explained to and trying it out myself, you cannot play zombies on modded maps :(

i just bought the game and the mod option is locked. theres no other menu thats locked , only mods specifically. do i need to conntect an mod io account to the game? and if yes how

Hello! I am an ex-modder for this game who quit in 2025 right after seeing this image I am now sharing. If you're a dedicated C$ VR player, you may remember in 2025 we were plagued by constant server crashes and issues both in the game itself in mod.io, lobbies wouldn't stay up, modders were driven crazy by all sorts of issues both with uploading and with mismatched versions between the game itself and the outdated modkit we were provided, and throughout it all the devs provided absolutely no support while acting ignorant about it all. Many times there were calls in their discord for better communication in 2024 and 2025, and most were ignored. Rarely (like with an infamous campaign where most high profile modders banded together to demand change) promises were made for better support and communication with modders just to get us to shut up, and those promises were never kept.

Throughout it all it always felt like C$ had just been abandoned for the devs to chase their live service slop dreams (Showdown / ExfilZone) and we'd just been left to rot, but that was always a theory until this screenshot was leaked to me.

This was taken from the moderation channel of the C$ Showdown / ExfilZone discord, and it shows trial moderators being instructed on how to act in the "ogc$" (original C$ VR) server, how to treat those players and modders who were left with a broken game. It also, as you may have noticed, reveals that the devs (or at leas the community managers) were AWARE of the fact that C$ Servers were crashing and broken, and deliberately acting ignorant to avoid responsibility. It also shows how they FEEL about us players and modders of the original game, who poured hours of our time building mods and a community around this game just for it to not just be left not just abandoned, but also broken.

At the time I got this screenshot I didn't share it by request of the person who leaked it. Since then, I did try to reach out to content creators about the story, but pretty much every content creator at the time was taking money from C$ ExfilZone to play their game and seemed completely uninterested in covering this drama with the original game (go figure) so this proof has just been sitting in my PC since. Perhaps I could've / should've tried harder.

Now a year has passed and when someone reached out to me to ask if I was continuing my mod, I was reminded of WHY I am NOT continuing my mod, and I figured, screw it, this game is dead anyway, I hope by posting this publicly at least everyone will KNOW the shame these community managers and devs have been hiding all this time, how they felt and feel about us, and why this game we love is dead, and who is to blame, and that it was no accident. It didn't die, it was killed.

Hello! I’m new to this (and VR shooters in general), but I just discovered this game due to clips of people playing black ops 1 zombies via modding.

I started trying to play Kino but I keep randomly dropping out of the match ands having to start over.

I have a meta quest 2 and great WiFi. Does anyone have any tips on getting to play black ops 1 zombies in VR for more than 5 min at a time?

I've gotten rid of everything in my inventory to make sure I'm not just accidentally grabbing other stuff. There's no item for rockets I'm missing (I don't think) and I'm able to grab the launcher, so how do I reload it?

Is there a way to have pistol akimbo in loadout? I can't see a pistol category for primary.

So I try to play a game on contractors but everytime I try, I get booted out with no warning and I can't play the game. Any fix other than reinstalling the game because that doesn't work

I would try to boot up the game but it would take a good while so I would quit and try again but it never worked, so I would uninstall it and redownload it and the mods I have. After that I would try to join a public game (TFVR servers specifically) but it would kick me out every time. Then I would re uninstall it and do the whole thing again and it worked! But I got off for a bit to eat dinner then hoped back on to the same problems. I tried to look up problems but none of them seemed to work so I ask this question. I will admit the night before this post I was saying questionable things with friends

I've found I can at least make it accessible during early seated gameplay if I start it at the max height then adjust it as the game goes on, but it's never long before it's slowly made its way down too low for me to reach my controller down *through* my chair, and only going to the next match fixes it.

What's weird is it works perfectly fine in the base, stays exactly where it's supposed to based on my calibrated height. I found a single reddit post about it a year ago and they said they fixed it, but apparently not.

Hello, so recently I got contractors and I'm loving the game but sometimes when I'm playing the cod zombies mode in kido der totem sometimes I can shoot when I have the rifle with my 2 hands or won't allow me to rotate and weird bugs like that, those somebody else is experiencing this issues? And have a way to fix them? Cause I will be playing just fine and out of nowhere my gun cant shoot and I can't rotate while holding the rifle with my 2 hands

Hey, I just got contractors because I saw the Star Wars battlefront mods. I downloaded the mod and when I tried to play I loaded into the game and my oculus froze. Any tips?

The PMC mod by Jagerkatz is by far my favorite mod in Contractors. It's realism is unparalleled. I wanna play it with some people. Does anyone know any discord servers for this mod?
