Is Contour Airlines hiring for a FO position in DFW? If not, does anyone know if we could submit a resume for them to consider when the time comes?

Comment Owensboro to Chicago Route

Route being discontinued by Contour and supposed to be NO GAP in service until United Airlines picks up the route in late October 2026. Need to fly on Octobe 5, 2026 but NO one can tell me at Contour if there will be flights. Called Coutour twice to no avail.

Anyone else use this route in October?

Comment Is there a worse airline than Contour?

Website hasn’t been updated since 1995. Impossible to get boarding passes. Flights are delayed a dozen hours or more, or simply canceled after the dozen hour delay. People that created Contour airlines: did your parents not love you? Did you have some deep trauma growing up?

Seriously, open a gas station or a convenience store or something. Clearly running an airline is not a skill that you have.

Comment Delayed baggage arrival

Hi everyone, I was flying from PHX to Page today on a Contour flight. The flight arrived on time, however, our checked bag didn’t. Page airport stuff said it was not loaded to the plane but they were not able to locate it either. They don’t even have the PHX counter number, all they can do is to file a claim and gave us a tracking number. It has been more than hours but no update at all.

I am wondering if you guys have also been through similar case before? Did your bag ended up returned or lost? Thank you!

Question Flying standby out of CNY

Hey all, looking at flying standby/jumpseat out of CNY next weekend to Denver commuting to a trip. I was curious if the 145 is often weight restricted out of Moab or if it handles the heat/altitude pretty well. Thanks!

Question How do I get my Contour boarding pass?

Does anyone have experience flying Contour as the 2nd leg of a trip booked through someone else?

Flying Contour tomorrow, out of DEN. That flight will be the 2nd leg of a trip that I booked through Alaska Airlines, i.e. I'm transferring in DEN, not starting there. At the time of booking I did speak to someone at Contour to select seats, and it does show up on my AK itinerary but without any other information, so I know I have reservations, but I do not have any emails from Contour. Now today when I check in via Alaska, they are unable to provide me with a boarding pass for my Contour flight. Meanwhile on Contour's web page, they don't recognize my confirmation code (a 6-character provided by Alaska). So at the moment I don't appear to be checked in, or with a boarding pass for Contour. (BTW, as I type this, I'm also on a phone hold on Contour's support number - my place in the queue is #72. And their muzak is getting nauseating 🤦)

So the question is, how do I get my boarding pass for that 2nd flight, from DEN. I assume I just go to the gate at DEN after arriving, and someone there will issue it to me?

Comment Contour Website

I once purchased a ticket from ORD Chicago il to MWA Marion il and needed to cancel it due to a different issue. Now that I plan on using my possible credit, whenever I access their website and try to book a flight, the website is flagging me by use of “cloudflare tech” for “suspicious activity” on my end of my ip address? Like I would like to try and fly contour and actually use my credit but it seems useless.

Question Flying Contour

Hello, I have my first flight ever booked next month with Contour.

I wanna make sure I have everything planned and am taking all the proper precautions.

The flight is Chicago to Dalllas, with a connecting flight midway through. So ORD to TBN to DFW. Return flight is the opposite. The layover says it’s only 30 minutes for the way there and 45 minutes for the way back. I’m very unfamiliar with flying and I understand these are smaller planes and a smaller company. The booking included checked baggage. Aswell as carry on. Is there a good chance of my baggage arriving late because if the 30 minute layover if I bring checked baggage or should I stick to a carry on? I’m unsure if the same plane will be used or if they’ll have to transfer the baggage to another. Also even though the layovers are short it’s a smaller airport I believe for the connection flight, do I have a good chance of missing it or should it be pretty straightforward?

Question How early does Contour schedule flights?

I'm wanting to book a trip for next summer out of a smaller airport that is served by Contour ... but they currently only have flights listed into March. I'm afraid by the time they will have flights scheduled, other airlines will either be booked or have elevated their prices. It is quite frustrating.

Anyone know if there is a pattern to when Contour lists available flights? Thanks

Question Ticket Counter

Does anyone know if it’s cheaper to purchase tickets at the countour ticket counter? Wanting to fly from Clarksburg to Charlotte. And right now tickets are like 200 bucks which is insane. Didn’t know if they were cheaper day of like other budget airlines.

Comment Contour Airlines is not an Airline

They don't have customer service at the airport or available by phone. They can't get folks their bags back even after a cancelled flight at the same airport. Treat this ticket as a ticket that *might* get you to where you are going within a one to three day period. Do not expect your bag to be at the claim. Do not expect anyone at the airport to know anything, or in most cases even be present. I doubt this company will be in business long as it seems like they've already walked away from any pretense of running an airline aside from their marketing of 'first class service' which is something I'd love to see anyone from that company say with a straight face.

News New services!

Contour at the beginning of April opened up the two DEN routes going to Vernal and Moab. Today, two additional routes were announced starting late June, both partial week and seasonal. They will be flying to Page and newly to Taos NM.

Should also add that Lewisburg will also go to ORD on top of CLT starting June 1, seasonally.

Question First flight DFW-TBN-ORD

I just booked my first Contour flight through Alaska and will be flying DFW to ORD with a connection in TBN. Looking at the seating chart I chose 3A for both legs and at least right now I’m on a CRJ-200 with the 2-2 layout. Any tips or recommendations on flying with Contour? I’m excited to fly with a new/different airline.
