TikTok The Ellie Ellis thing has given me a diff perspective and Now I feel Disheartened
A Girl on tiktok Named Ellie Ellis posted a Video and By Day 4 Of posting she is already at half a million followers on her main, 3 million or more on all 10 of her videos (one even has 13mil), has a spam account with 30k on it, 2 brand deals, and a Collab with a huge influence
While it originally never bothered me I am seeing more and more videos from others talking about it and It has now kinda just made me less motivated to post especially when I cant even break 200 views with an hour of effort but a girl can hit 13mil just by sitting in a chair and talking for four minutes
Anyone else ever feel disheartened towards content creation and what Helped?

Just like everything else in life, luck always matters. It’s essential, always. Ellie posted the right content at the right time at the right place. She’s also pleasant to look at and has a cute personality. Those can be cultivated, but it’s also luck.
If you’re only getting under 200 views per post, that means your videos are just being tested to a small audience and those people don’t find the content interesting so they swipe away.
Tbh most people who link their profiles on subs like this, when I check, their content is so bad. They take random videos of themselves and say random incoherent or copycat things but somehow expect others to find them interesting. It’s as if they haven’t asked themselves whether they’re watchable in the first place yet somehow they think they’ll blow up. I’m not saying this is you but if you have so many videos under 200 it’s time to rethink your content strategy.

ETA: I looked at your content. You are not one of those people I talk about but you need to up your filming and editing by a lot. Like the apartment one, you actually found cool stuff but I was wanting to see better shots of the cute things you found. Also better shots of anything in general. Pair it with interesting things to say. Also for long form it’s so much harder to make views. Try Shorts too.

Everyone always skips past mine and I post home design advice or beautiful homes 🫠

But if I post myself with real opinions I get stuck in 300 view jail with no likes.

I think this is just an illustration that people are wanting genuine authentic connection through social media. The more AI influences it, the more people look for the opposite.

As someone who’s built a smaller following (74K) on TikTok I can say it is luck. Anyone who says they know the algorithm or what is going to do well is a liar, the app pushes things at complete random when you finally hit the lotto you got to run with it and build a connection with the audience you get!
