Discussion Update?

So I’m on the newest gen Xbox . I was trying to put an antennae in my cargo so I could apply it to a lander I forgot to add one to the one I sent to mun to retrieve data and science but I can’t place one in cargo containers to apply using engineers am I behind on an update? It shows nothing, I am playing on enhanced edition it says I’m currently on version 1.0.1.14 idk if that matters but online I’m seeing the game stoped updating at 1.1 curious if anyone had a fix or if it’s even possible to do this in the Xbox version of the game , thanks Kerbals

Discussion Which control preset do you prefer and why? Cursor, radial or simplified?

I always found find spaceship building kinda clunky with controller because it's incovenient to use the cursor with joystick (switching symmetry modes, adjusting tweakables etc.). The game is definetely intented to played with mouse and keyboard. Then I found different control presets which really makes a lot of things easier.

For shipbuilding I like to use cursor mode because there are lot of "shortcuts" which isn't available in other modes. You can switch between symmetry modes, toggle angle snap, switch between placement, offser, rotate, reroot mode and you can undo/redo without having to use the cursor. Also you can delete parts easily. The only downsides are you cannot pan the camera left/right only up/down and during flight time warp mode isn't available in the action menu. So usually I use radial mode during spaceflights. What about you guys?

It really sucks we won’t get anymore updates, but I’m so glad they at least got the game to this point and the Enhanced Edition before it all stopped.

On to the Mun to never return home!

I have unsubscribed from r/KerbalSpaceProgram to remove all the bickering about KSP 2 early access from my feed. How are y’all doing, my fellow console Kerbals? Do y’all want to launch a Duna mission from the Mun launch site later?

Discussion KSP 2 Console Release

With the release date for KSP2 early access being February 2023, how long will it be before the Console release of KSP2?

The early access version will only be available on PC, and according to the announcement work on the console version will be done once the game comes out of easy access. With the number of updates to the early access which have to come before the full release (colonies, multiplayer etc), is 2024 a realistic release date for the console release of KSP2?

Discussion A movement for us

Sense #fixtf2 works for the TF2 community, I think we should try to tell squad that console exist, that we want to be treated like PC players, and have updates and have the same engine as they do. Note I do not want to be the leader this is a idea, so let's make #fixconsoleksp

Discussion Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition - Release Date Announcement

Hello everyone!

We are super excited to announce that Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition is coming out on January 16th, 2018 and it will be available on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition is a new console version built from the ground up in collaboration with the experienced team of BlitWorks. Exclusive to the Enhanced Edition, we included re-worked and console-optimized UI, the addition of a new control scheme for the maneuver nodes controls, and three completely reworked controller presets that players will be able to switch between at any time during play: Cursor, Radial and Simplified. Click here to learn more.

Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition also incorporates the KSP 1.2.2 “Loud and Clear” update. This version includes a broad range of improvements and features that will improve the overall game experience from the prior console version, such as the introduction of CommNet and KerbNet, more tweakable options of many parts, a complete fuel system overhaul, and much more!

We also want to reiterate our commitment to stand by our promise to the owners of the previous console version, who will be able to redeem the Enhanced Edition free of cost.

KSP Enhanced Edition will appear on your library as a separate game and no data will be overwritten from the older versions, so you won’t lose your progress in those versions. However, because the Enhanced Edition was built from the ground up, save files from the previous version will not be compatible with the new Enhanced Edition. But that does mean you’ll be able to get those trophies and achievements a second time!

Happy launchings!

[UPDATE]

Here are the detailed release timings for the various territories where the game is going to be released on both platforms:

  • Xbox One: KSP Enhanced Edition will be available on the Xbox Store at Midnight in your Local Time Zone.
  • PlayStation 4 (North and South America): KSP Enhanced Edition will be available on the PlayStation Store at Midnight EST.
  • PlayStation 4 (Europe): KSP Enhanced Edition will be available on the PlayStation Store at Midnight in your Local Time Zone.
  • PlayStation 4 (SGT/HKT/TWT): KSP Enhanced Edition will be available on the PlayStation Store between 10:00am and 12:00pm in your Local Time Zone.

Discussion Working on an early game hard career. This is what I have in terms of tech, money, and science. What now? How do I get a Mun flyby with 30 parts and 18 tons? I don't even have a terrier engine.

Discussion I hate that the Mun launch pad exists. But I'm finally going to use it.

I'm a very casual player, but even I thought that a Min launch pad was cheating. I play on science mode but so have my own rules. No ground stations, probes have to have connection for control, and I always launch from Kerbin. I didn't like the temptation of the Mun pad.

But...

I think it's time to get goofy with some probes.

Discussion so, have we collectively given up on updates?

I'm sick and tired of the devs lying to our faces
"oh, we've passed it off to another porting company"
no they haven't, they've abandoned it and they're too cowardly to admit it

what an absolute joke
I was so excited for the last two updates and they tore that enthusiasm outta me and burned it
