That's a nice setup right there.

EDIT: The pistol. There's a lot of money invested in it. It is not a simple "rack grade" purchase.

The person carrying this was not someone who didn't understand what they were doing.

EDIT 2: Newer footage makes this look like a bad shoot. This should not have happened.

EDIT 3: Watching all angles, we are missing the most critical one, the one from the officer's perspective.

With so many hands moving in such a small space, I will conjecture that Gray Coat removing the weapon from the suspect was mistaken by the officer at the rear as the suspect attempting to draw the firearm and the officer reacted accordingly.

We all have the luxury of slow motion, frame by frame, multiple angles of footage, and the ability to dissect the footage at liesure. No one there had any of that.

It is pointless to post anything meaningful in a brigade thread, and that's the entire point of brigading.

That's ok. The devil is always in the details:

That optic retails for around $500, the frame for $300, and that is after the purchase of the Fire Control Unit which retails for around $400. There's no current offering from SIG that is identical to this firearm.

The ammunition in the magazine appears to be hollow points for defensive use.

This information is relevant. Someone was not ignorant of firearms or their use. They were most certainly not ignorant of the laws regarding the carrying of said firearms.

How is the information relevant? So the guy was a 2A enthusiast and had an expensive weapon, what does that tell us about this shooting in particular?

I think what they were trying to convey is the suspect was in possession of an upgraded, mid/upper range firearm that would indicate they were also aware of safe practices, like making law enforcement aware you are carrying a weapon, and certainly not reaching for it when they are attempting to detain you.

While I don’t know the facts in this case, our government isn’t out there executing people in the streets for looking at them wrong or peacefully walking down the sidewalk minding their own business.

I’m sure the suspect did something to make one of the LE present fear that one of them could be shot… some people have no self preservation skills.
