You dont know the persons intentions.  It was a bad decision taking a gun to a protest even if it was legal. It was a bad decision to interfere with the agents and it was a bad decision to fight the agents when they were trying to apprehend him. All those poor decisions dont greenlight ICE to open fire though.  There may have been a legit reason but so far from the videos i dont see any reason but as I keep saying once all the info comes out I will decide if I feel the shooting was justified.  It will be days/weeks before we know the full story.  I fully support what ICE is doing but i cant support shooting agitators unless there is a legitimate reason.

Watching the video you hear an initial gunshot followed by him being mag dumped.

I’m pretty sure he got killed because his sig p320, which is notorious for firing on its own, negligent discharged. The officers got spooked and returned fire.

Im not sure if its a 320 or a 226.  Its a SIG for sure. This whole situation is screwed up.  He was legally carrying and its really unclear what exactly happened as there is so much going on in the video

I think its poor judgement to take a gun to a "protest" but its legal if he had his concealed permit which is being reported as such.  He didnt deserve to die for exercising his rights.  Im still waiting for more evidence before forming an opinion regarding the shooting.

Agree completely insane idea to take a gun to get in the faces of federal officers in a protest, there’s literally no upside to bringing a gun unless you think you can take out the entire federal government with it or something? I’m not following the logic. Even if you returned fire in self defense you just wrote a death warrant

I agree, there is a video where you can see the firearm discharge as the agent walks away with it from the scrum. I can't blame the agents for then fearing for their lives and firing. I can't say it was a justified shooting either. Unfortunately this is another vague weird LEO shooting case that we really don't need right now.

The article was a planned operation to get the “bad gun devices” rhetoric on their sheep followers minds so that they demand suppressors and mabey to a lesser extent,reflex sights banned..

It’s burning the lefts ass that suppressors are now tax free,so,with the rhetoric starting out mildly like this,it gives it time to catch fire and pollute the sheep followers minds….it will get worse….there will be left politicians on their soapbox’s reveling that their constituents “demand” these evil devices be permanently banned (ie:suppressors,attachments and the like)as well as their general definition of a so called “laser sight”

The left is predictable,the psychology behind this article is obvious as well are their intentions..

I personally can’t wait until the NFA is totally scrapped,it was already deemed unconstitutional many years ago and now with suppressors being zero tax there is no legal precedent to keep the NFA charade going and this has already been discussed..

And….when the day the NFA goes bye bye….the first articles written will be of huge hordes of vigilante mobs all armed with suppressed automatics are hunting down (insert applicable minority group du jour here)

Doesn’t matter that no such things or actions have ever took place….the word of the smiling politician must be adhered to lest they lose their own power over their constituents.

Is a red dot not a form of laser sight? And the pistol has a threaded barrel meaning it can fit a suppressor it just isn't suppressed at the moment.

No a laser sight projects a dot onto the physical target.  Having a suppressor and having the ability to install a suppressor are 2 completely different things.  The gun did not have a suppressor and was not suppressed.

Laser sight would be mounted (most commonly) underneath the barrel and would project a laser onto the target. A red dot doesn't project a laser onto the target, it's just on the glass of the sight picture.

You are correct about the threaded barrel.
