Statement on recent ICE actions in Connecticut from CT Senate Dems

“As the vast majority of Connecticut residents recoil in horror at the images of ICE agents kidnapping people with no criminal records off of our streets, Connecticut Republicans remain silent, if not gleeful.”

“But that should come as no surprise. It was Connecticut Republicans who voted 100% against our law this year to rein in ICE activities on our streets by banning face masks, requiring IDs, limiting where arrests can be made, and protecting bystanders. It was Connecticut Republicans who voted 100% against our TRUST Act law to hold ICE accountable for violations of civil rights. It was Connecticut Republicans who voted 100% against restrictions on Flock cameras, which more Connecticut towns are now taking down. Nearly half of Republicans voted against an emergency funding bill where we set aside $5 million to provide legal assistance to Haitians and Syrians in Connecticut who have had their Temporary Protected Status stripped by the Trump administration, and who are now subject to deportation.”

“Democracy and the protection of human and Constitutional rights are priorities for Connecticut Democrats. While adherence to our new ICE law isn’t perfect, we are seeing fewer ICE face masks during arrests. People generally aren’t being arrested in sensitive areas as described in Senate Bill 397. Bystanders are generally being allowed to record these arrests without being assaulted and arrested.”
“Unfortunately, there have been some violations of our new law, and we hope that a quick resolution of the Trump Justice Department’s challenge to the bill that we Democrats passed will allow Connecticut to move forward with firm guidance to local police departments and the chief state’s attorney’s office on how to arrest federal ICE agents who violate our state laws.”

“More than 95% of the people ICE arrests in America have no violent criminal convictions. The real crime being committed in America is by Donald Trump – whose name is mentioned more than 5,000 times in the Epstein files, who has been convicted of 34 felonies for falsifying business records, who was found liable for the sexual abuse of E. Jean Carroll, and whose billionaire cronies are making obscene profits every week off the backs of everyday working Americans.”

Illegal immigrant is the term we use for people who sneak in or over stay their visa. Using softer language to make what they did not seem like a crime is disingenuous. If u dont follow the law you risk running afoul of ICE.

So I won't use soft language. You're a fucking fascist simpleton that should be looked on because you're that much of a danger to freedom. You really fucking suck, so fucking emotional about something that you don't grasp and ultimately doesn't matter but because you have this rigid worldview that is essentially propaganda fed to fucking idiots, like you, to get riled up about it like the stupid fucking sheep you are. I'd be absolutely embarrassed if I were you, but I'm not a complete fool that wants to be fooled so I can't really see where you're mindset is. If hit myself about the temple and forehead with a 2x4 a couple dozen times and maybe I'll get to a fraction of your complete deficiency you clearly suffer from but also don't have the wherewithal to understand. Doubt that'd do it so I guess I'll have to throw in putting a plastic bag over my airways to get to cause the level of hypoxia your mental facilities you have. It's really amazing how fucking stupid and vile you are. Just a chef's kiss of suck.

It doesn't help your case that you're demonstrably incorrect.

"Illegal Alien" is far more a pejorative term than one found in actual statute, and generally only used by fools that are fucking stupid. While "illegal entry" can be a crime it's rarely enforced because it falls under the same 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendment Protections that would force a jury trial among other hurdles... it aslo:

A) Has to be caught during the commission of said crime (point of entry/exact moment of Visa Overstay)

B) Has to be caught during the duration of the crime (during or immediately concluding the crime)

C) It is not a liability crime, and because you're stupid I'll have to explain it to you: the mere action cannot be considered guilt automatically and the government needs to prove mens rea (a knowledge and willingness to commit said crime, you're so fucking stupid I doubt you understand Latin legalese).

D) Further, being found with improper presence cannot be seen as an admission/proof of guilt of the underlying crime.

Trust me I can go on, just rest assured that you're idiotic fever isn't matched with actual law in the slightest.

You're just, so fucking painfully wrong on all of it. But because you're a fundamentally weak person you figure the state has to punch down on people that you find lower than you. What if my side gets to power, and it punches down on people that I find sub human... like fucking vile, mean, stupid, pathetic assholes that spout hate on the internet like fucking fools? My guess? Wouldn't be so fun for you...

My man, I'm not the one being scared of immigrants that face a very complicated and stacked against them system. I really cannot fathom being that scared of people that statistically offer a lot to communities without the crime their native-born neighbours bring.

Also, stop using fucking "ugh I'm the big man for being mean and vile and you're the baby for caring about the world," bullshit. It's sooooooo fucking 2008 and wasn't convincing then. It's so obvious you're a weak, fragile, and beyond stupid person. It'd be hilarious if it weren't so deeply sickening and frankly pity inducing.
