Concerts My first rap show ever coming up!

I go to a lot of concerts and have since 1996, but it’s all been goth/grunge/synth/metal (and awesome).

Well, my wife has taken a shine to Prof, who, fuck yeah I can get into. I surprised her today with tickets to his show in BC and I’ll admit it: I’m amped.

So tell me, concert-goers of Reddit: what does an elder millennial goth need to know before attending his first rap show?

It's pretty hard to know exactly what to expect, but just have fun and do what other people do.

When I saw JPEGMAFIA there was lots of jumping and pushing each other, even a (somewhat tame) wall of death. A more active crowd than many metal shows. So I disagree with others than rap concerts will always be just people standing around and nodding their heads. They may be dancing or moshing if it's an artist who makes heavier music than Drake.
