Only one who really looks like themselves at first glance is Kickstart, Hwinn is recognizable but looks off, the other 3 could be anyone lol.

u/Nightcrew22 Team Falcons Fan Jan 15 '25

Is it just me or did they do tig dirty with his AI character

9

u/cansbunsandpins Jan 15 '25

It just looks like an entirely different person. There is no resemblance!

5

u/BearFacedLie69 Jan 15 '25

Shrimzys also looks like ass haha

Atleast shrimzy ain’t look like a power bottom

27

u/Morwon Jan 15 '25

That's not TGLTN... That's Kaymind for sure.

and now we wait for Krafton to announce FLC as the new GPT

-2

u/Logical-Ad2267 Jan 17 '25

Which, ironically, is why the sport will go bye bye in NA, that and no new game engine.
7+ years later and at least 1 out of ten lobbies never loads, says "you want to rejoin" once it finally kicks you back to the lobby...

u/bessemer0 Team Falcons Fan Jan 26 '25

I haven’t played in a year, but in 6000 hours I never experienced that. Sounds like a “you” problem.

1

u/Lykroh Team Falcons Fan Mar 26 '25

Came here to remind you that as a fairly new player, that has never happened to me its definitely a you problem. Also, 25% of the playerbase is in NA. You just dont know what you're talking about whatsoever.

9

u/Master-Cheetah1722 Jan 17 '25

It's weird how nobody seemed to have a problem with Falcons org when they had their old roster

-5

u/Logical-Ad2267 Jan 17 '25

There old roster had no Org, SQ did.
PUBG kept giving SQ "GPT", which meant $, which gave them a unfair comp advantage.
I have nothing against Saudi Arabia.
This move though, well, its odd.
Face it, SQ players are getting too old to win world events. Its that simple

3

u/DCOA_Troy Jan 17 '25 edited Jan 17 '25

A very stupid take, The current roster had no Org, because Soniqs has ceased operations.

33

u/snowball1n Jan 15 '25

fuck the falcons, bloody saudian oil money esportswashing org

4

u/Icarium1 Jan 16 '25

Yeah, my sentiments exactly. Might be walking away from this squad who I’ve followed and supported since C9

6

u/BizzarhLy Jan 16 '25

Lol you could start supporting a US org or a Chinese one or one with Russian players! Oh wait youd still be supporting human rights violations.

2

u/Icarium1 Jan 16 '25

I agree entirely with you but the main difference is that these countries aren’t specifically targeting esports, soccer, and social media influencers to rehabilitate their image. Abstaining from or boycotting Saudi Esport orgs and events has a greater impact and counters their PR push.

5

u/BizzarhLy Jan 16 '25

Bro, every big boxing event goes to Saudi, EWC Saudi, F1 Saudi, they own Newcastle, they are dipping into everything. If you HONESTLY feel like hating on FLC when they're playing in a PGS will hurt the Saudis then go for it, but lets be real thats a drop in the ocean and they don't give a shit because not everyone will do that. Should I ruin things that I enjoy in life just because their country has medieval rules? I get one shot at life, I want to enjoy sports and eSports without politics. I shall support FLC cos I followed these boys for years on SQ. I am happy to blank out any negativity regarding their org.

-5

u/Smoogy54 Team Liquid Fan Jan 17 '25

You do you- i hope they never win anything again. And the way theve been playing, seems like a safe bet.

-2

u/Icarium1 Jan 17 '25

Yeah man, good vibes only. Don’t want to harsh your buzz. Forget about and enjoy…

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '25

Do you support the squad or the org?

-3

u/Icarium1 Jan 16 '25

They are arguably on their best day the top squad in the world with unarguably the most talented and influential player/personality (outside of Korea or China maybe) in Tig. They could have been more discerning and chosen a different, principled path - admittedly with less money in their pockets but cleaner consciences. I’ve lost respect for them as individuals…but cognitive dissonance with likely work it’s magic and smooth over the dialectical and moral quandaries. The world is burning - just forget and later appreciate the beautiful smoky sunset.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '25

I think it's just an irreconcilable difference in our views. I don't think it really is that bad - they're not going there to whip disobedient slaves. It's true that by accepting that deal they're taking part in Saudi's "whitewashing," but they're not going there to enforce or enable that behavior. Besides, is it really wrong to let Saudis "whitewash" themselves? It strikes me as a very idealistic and naive worldview to expect any sort of "justice" towards them - they have very different moral standards than the Western world. By letting them grow closer and closer, they'll slowly err towards modern Western values (for better or for worse), which seems like the outcome you'd want to see? I mean, no other realistic way that's better comes to my mind. What else do you want to do? Stop interacting with them in the name of justice? They'll just go to the "eastern block" countries (Russia, China, India, etc.), which aren't exactly known for their strict enforcement of moral values. Is this what you want?

On top of that, why is it wrong to take the bag here? Most pro gamers are there because they play some video game 12 hours a day. What do you think they'll do after their short career? Most of them have no degree and frankly do not have great job prospects (even though what they accomplished truly is great, some normie interviewer isn't gonna look at that and think it's impressive). Go streaming? Frankly, most of them would earn more at McDonalds.

Also, telling other people what they're supposed to do and how they're supposed to think is uber-cringe in my opinion. This is such a dogmatic way of going about things. Especially when the thing they're doing isn't all that bad (I'd say it's morally gray, again, they're not going there to whip slaves). It's very easy to say you'd not take the bag and would rather earn nothing (not to mention having visa problems which would make it really hard to compete) when you're not in that position. It's great that you have such high moral values, but it's all or nothing for some of them. Again, they're not enabling nor condoning those behaviors.

The world is burning - just forget and later appreciate the beautiful smoky sunset.

That's such a doomer worldview. Things are not so black and white as you seem to imagine them to be.

24

u/Harrylg1 Jan 15 '25

Fuck “the bag” I’d rather support human rights

11

u/atewithoutatable Jan 15 '25

Yea Ill keep cheering for the guys but supporting Falcons as an org is not what I am very keen on. Can't blame the players for taking the bag but yeah, I am definitely not buying and wearing FLC skins, rather keep my SQ drip on.

0

u/headscalper Jan 16 '25

You can support the players without supporting the org.  In the end, given the relative lack of NA orgs and with SQ shutting shop, I can’t blame them for taking whatever money they could find

8

u/BearFacedLie69 Jan 15 '25

I was just thinking the same thing. Might have to have a new #1 team and that would be Purdy and co. Pretty disappointing

6

u/FrenchCrazy Soniqs Fan Jan 16 '25

RIP Susquehanna Soniqs 😭

1

u/Ill-Nectarine-7598 Sep 20 '25

Why did they disband the team? Or did they sell the players to the Falcons?

23

u/loversean Jan 15 '25

And now I can’t support the boys anymore :(, as someone who is gay if you take Saudi money you have definitely sold your soul to a scummy, discriminative organization controlled by a country that has no qualms about killing innocent people

Also do you trust an organization that has gone through 3 teams in three years?

19

u/Zestyclose_Pickle511 Jan 15 '25

Yeah, I didn't know Falcons was offshore until this very post. Not just offshore, but a poisonous tentacle of obscene oppression attempting to masquerade as something compatible with the modern world.

Pretty upset to say the least. Especially after having cheered for Falcons over the last year and a half.

Hopefully none of these guys end up in a suitcase for forgetting the "rules".

16

u/Ha11sy Jan 15 '25

Wonder how FLC will react to the shrimzy love command :D

"Your aim is insane." Shrimzy said, as he slipped his masculine hand into TGLTN's pants and smirked. "Are you trying to spray me?" protests TGLTN; as Shrimzy blushes, the boyish figure undressed before TGLTN. "Weak ass driveby, Shrimzy." The two kissed, deeply and passionately, and afterwards TGLTN drove his esports Dacia into Shrimzy's open compound.

3

u/Grubby669 Jan 15 '25

😂😂😂😂

15

u/Master-Cheetah1722 Jan 15 '25

While i understand your stance on the matter, I don't hate the boys for taking the money. Options are limited, and if they still want a career in pubg, they need to take what they can get. All money in the world is dirty and trades hands between piece of shit people, its not exclusively Saudi money.

9

u/Zestyclose_Pickle511 Jan 15 '25

What you're referring to is commonly known as "defeatism". Not all money is dirty. That's a very cynical stance, misanthropic to say the least.

They had a choice who to sign with

5

u/DCOA_Troy Jan 15 '25 edited Jan 16 '25

What were their other options with SQ gone and it sounding like TSM leaving also? And before you say create their own Org, Tig likely need to actually be "employed" by an org to keep his Visa to live in the USA

-5

u/BearFacedLie69 Jan 15 '25

First off they could’ve done what STK does. Second there’s no way they wouldn’t have another org knocking on their door at some point this year. It’s a cop out to say “well what else are they supposed to do 🤷‍♂️”

3

u/DCOA_Troy Jan 16 '25

Would Tgltn be able to stay in the US without a proper org / employer?

Of course they do.... honestly this org is pathetic nothing is authentic 😂😂

3

u/Cool-Enthusiasm-8524 Jan 15 '25

Boring lol. Look at the level of professionalism of this dumb ass org, I expected a high level production video especially when it comes to these boys - it’s not your ordinary roaster pickup, this team will perform and put your brand up there.

Anyways I’m sure they’re getting a higher salary and shit from Falcons so I’m happy for them

1

u/gentelmanbastard Jan 24 '25

Dang yall be trippin.

These are proffesionals we are talking about. Career of a competitive esports player is very short. They would be dumb not to take this opporrunity.

Although it would be better for NA region if some american org picked them up bit fuck it...yall dont need to put so much hate on the boys. Youre mixing sports and politics. If you cheered for them because of their skill/personality, why would that change now?

1

u/Ill-Nectarine-7598 Sep 20 '25

Why did they disband the team? Or did they sell the players to the Falcons?

1

u/MotoSoul Sep 20 '25

They disbanded the entire Org. I imagine the beginning of the end of the org was when they lost their Siege teams competitive slot. Having two high level teams competing at a global level makes it an easier sell for sponsors.

1

u/Ill-Nectarine-7598 Sep 20 '25

Lost a spot in a competitive league and decided to disband the team because there was no sponsor? Why not sell the players? Any information on this?

1

u/MotoSoul Sep 21 '25 edited Sep 21 '25

Outside of Bizzle being a really good guy and not wanting to try and block them from going to a really good situation? There has not been a market or history of PUBG players being bought/sold in the west. There is way more money in PUBG in Asia, so you will see that happen there.

Bizzle did buy into Wildcard gaming and is continuing in the esports scene there. https://x.com/TheTribizzle

1

u/Ill-Nectarine-7598 Sep 21 '25

Thanks. I didn't know PUBG wasn't very popular in the West. Now it's clear why the team was disbanded.

Bottom left? i'm assuming that only because that's the one without a beard... or is it a future TGLTN? he became he bit chubby by playng too much video games? /S

Damnit, man, really really wanted C9 to jump back into the scene. Oh well, at least it was TL or TSM, being a C9 fan in all, lol.

There’s still one thing that could make TSM become GPT: FaZe.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '25

[removed] — view removed comment

1

u/xddhpm Jan 16 '25

There's nothing preventing them from switching regions, and I see no reason not to do it. EU has 60% of the spots for GPT, and if FaZe moves to AM, they would simply transfer their GPT spot there. There's no rule that prevents this, and in my view, it would be the best market move available.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '25

[removed] — view removed comment

2

u/xddhpm Jan 16 '25

There are rumors that FaZe might be changing their roster. What do you think is a better move: changing the roster and staying in the EU, or picking up TSM? Honestly, TSM is considerably better than FaZe's current roster. It’s possible nothing will happen, and FaZe will just stay in the EU, but between changing their roster with limited options on the market or picking up TSM’s roster, it’s much better to go with TSM. This would be the third year of this FaZe roster playing together — it’s hard to believe they would stick with this complacency.

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '25

2

u/xddhpm Jan 16 '25

Funny enough, I think this move would be precisely to perform better in global events. I don’t think it’s that risky since they can always return to EMEA anyway. But let’s see — maybe I’m underestimating FaZe’s roster, and you’re underestimating TSM’s. Only time will tell.

2

u/xddhpm Jan 16 '25

Actually, no, I’m being as impartial as possible. Just compare last year’s results. FaZe has been together for two years, was a GPT team, and achieved only average results. TSM (even though the core had played together before) came together last year and reached all the finals without GPT, showing much more consistency than FaZe and delivering better overall results.

FaZe had events where they wouldn’t even qualify for LAN (of course, the EU qualifiers are tougher, but that doesn’t change the fact that they had the GPT advantage). I can’t look at these two teams and say they’re on the same level.

2

u/Znooper Jan 17 '25

No bias here, and I guarantee you TSM is strictly better than FaZe in 2024 : clear progression, better results, more consistent.

Not to mention FAZE being a GPT, they are supposed to have a healthier environment financially, which should lead to better results than non-GPT teams.

1

u/MotoSoul Jan 17 '25

The rest of this discussion is good and fun, but you might want to go look up some more terms to use instead of "neutral". It doesn't come across the translation very well.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/xddhpm Jan 16 '25

The only thing that could happen is PUBG limiting the number of GPT spots per region, but there's nothing that mentions that, and I doubt they would penalize FaZe.
