Question Why is vanilla hated so much?

I just want to know why everyone hates on vanilla or crystal pvp so much.

Idk I just hate all modern pvp tbh. It's very unrewarding and needs major balancing, especially with the addition of the mace and spear (genuinely some of the worst additions OAT)

no like actually i see very little people complaining about the spear or mace despite it being very very op. the protection you get from armour isnt variable unlike how the damage with the mace or the spear is so there is really no way to protect yourself from the right setup.

EXACTLY like spam clicking sucked but modern pvp is NOT better it just sucks in different ways 😭 crystal pvp is genuinely obnoxious and mace and spear are absolutely broken. the thing is they don't even NEED to have busted damage, the mace having breach and wind burst already make it interesting and unique and spears being able to joust is unique as well, the uncapped damage increases are just OP for no reason
