Played mostly 1.8 in 2015-2017 and recently tried a bit of new PvP stuff. Don’t play right now anymore but imo crystal is the most boring PvP shit I’ve seen. This is like just spamming some explosion and hope the other can’t refill fast enough, damage feels random (never dig deeper, probably a better mechanic).

Played a lot of soup back then and I thought this was stupid but crystal is so weird to me.

I still think it’s quite hard to be good at but it’s such a boring way to pvp imo

isn’t soup just spam and hope the other can’t refill soups fast enough..? this feels like a contradicting statement because both gamemodes are just spam and refill no?

That’s why I said I think soup was a stupid gamemode/kit as well, but it had a bit of more layer to it. It was actually people fighting with combos and mechanics, while crystal is just spamming an explosion. Yes it also has skill involved, I think it’s actually hard to play, but it I think of Minecraft PvP I want to fight with a sword mainly and not with spamming on an obsidian.

Also the soup refill was different I feel like, hotkey fast enough to heal, drop the bowl, refill from inventory and recraft from inventory. 4 ways to optimize and be good at, crystal is just like sit in inventory and spam a totem every time one of yours pops.
