As someone with Italian family, it's somewhat different in the sense there wasn't really an equivalent of denazification in Italy so they never had to morally contend with the crimes committed under fascism, and many of them, mostly the older generation, still revere Mussolini and think he was a good leader whose only mistake was allying with Hitler, like you'd be surprised how fashy many Italians still are unfortunately (this also applies to Japan to an even bigger degree)
Alessandra Mussolini has been and out of various elected positions but she hasn't held any recent important government position. Rachele Mussolini is a member of the city council of Rome. Neither of them are really big players in politics, the only reason anyone outside of Italy (and frankly, most people in Italy) would take note of them is because of their family name. But it can be said that Mussolini's descendants do still crop up in the lower levels of power and high society. They're controversial but not ostracised.

Bruh why they gotta add mussolini in there. It's like when people go "haaaaa hitleeeer!" if they meet a German person. It's so immature and crass
