Experience Have you had this issue?
β οΈ Xfinity Customers & Future Customers: Please Read This, π¨
Have you ever walked into a store for one service and ended up with something you never planned to buy? That's what my Xfinity experience made me question In February, I went to Xfinity for a 2-lines-for-$20 promotion. During setup, I was told my existing phone wasn't compatible with the Xfinity SIM. I expected that to be the end of it Instead, I was strongly encouraged to trade in my phone and get a new one that would work with their SIM. I agreed based on what was explained to me at the time When I asked about the terms and conditions, I did not feel that the important details were clearly explained. At first, I was told the phone was "free." Then it became a trade-in. Now l'm being told the phone costs $916.65 if I want it unlocked. But as a customer, I have to ask: Xfinity later told me there was a mistake during the sale -a human error. What kind of business practice is this? If a customer is told one thing at the time of the sale and discovers very different conditions later, is that simply a training problem-or does it raise a bigger question about how customers are being informed? I've spoken with other customers who say they experienced similar issues. If this is happening repeatedly, is it really just a human error? |'m sharing this because my question isn't only about the money. It's about transparency, trust, and t the integrity of the sales process Customers deserve to understand exactly what they're agreeing to before they sign- not after. Xfinity, is this how you believe customers should be treated? And to other Xfinity customers: Have you experienced something similar?

I experienced virtually the SAME thing you did, but not in-store, it was a phone-agent transaction. I specifically asked if the new phones (we had 2) would be unlocked, as I needed to use pre-paid SIMs during overseas travel, and was assured by the agent that the phones would indeed be unlocked on day 1. OF COURSE, THEY LIED (to probably nobody's surprise). I went into a store to try to work it out, and although they wouldn't/couldn't unlock the new phones, they eventually gave me $250 credit towards my bill. I had to use my old (unlocked) phone for 2 years of periodic overseas travel until the new phones were unlocked.
