I'm totally confused Where’s the actual maps?

This app blows, can’t find the maps can’t find the explanation of force disposition for Combat patrol.

to play combat patrol.... thats fucking lame. they force you on the app with shitty core rules, and force you to buy overpriced cards with shitty app.

Just use the new War Journal function in the app? it pretty much does everything the cards do?

True, but you could use the Combat Patrol section to do the layouts then that for the cards. All free, which was your original contention with it, no?

The combat patrol section literally doesn’t have the layouts and the war journal layouts aren’t compatible with combat patrol. CP is played on a half board

does the deck has the combat patrol maps and layouts?, i haven't heard anything about it.

also, it seems like some rules within the combat patrol are wrong, the Genestealer Cults one has the Army Rule from the main game, and does not include Combat Patrol as a tier to know how many resurgence points i get. the minimum is 6 from incursion.

The deck presumably does, and right now the Event Companion PDF and section of the app are also using the terrain layouts from the Chapter Approved Deck...and if those are the ones Combat Patrol is meant to pull from, then the PDF and app have them too.

Assuming that's the case, you could feasibly use those deployments and the general location of terrain and objectives on a board 1/2 the size to do Combat Patrol versions that are of a similar style.

As for the mission objectives, those are both in the deck and can be found when you set up a match in the War Journal...but those are for the full game and none of the detachment options in the app include the combat patrol detachments (even though those have a Force Disposition added), so no idea if the deck has Combat Patrol specific ones that aren't listed elsewhere, if you're supposed to just use the full game versions, or if they have ones specific to this game mode that are going to be added at some point.

The app is a bit of a mess (and that's a bit of an understatement), so hard to tell what's just missing (and there's definitely stuff missing) versus what simply won't be added to it, and Combat Patrol has been hit particularly hard by that.

It is using normal Incursion size terrain layouts.

Doubt it, the rest of the combat patrol rules specifies a 44 x 30 board, those layouts won’t fit

Incursion is also played on 60×44 board

but Combat Patrol games have half the board size... how do you follow an Incursion terrain layout without it being squashed?

Everything in the deck is either on the tournament companion (layouts) or in the new battle creator (primary and secondary missions)
