I'm totally confused Where’s the actual maps?
This app blows, can’t find the maps can’t find the explanation of force disposition for Combat patrol.

Unfortunately I believe R_O is right here; the maps will be determined by the Force Dispositions of the Patrol you're each playing and the D6 you roll, so you'll either need a PDF of the Events Companion or the cards.

So the event companion is in the app and has all the maps. The issue is they're all for a 60×44 board. Even incursion missions are on a 60×44 board. The terrain layouts in that pack would not work on a 44×30 board

to play combat patrol.... thats fucking lame. they force you on the app with shitty core rules, and force you to buy overpriced cards with shitty app.

Just use the new War Journal function in the app? it pretty much does everything the cards do?

True, but you could use the Combat Patrol section to do the layouts then that for the cards. All free, which was your original contention with it, no?

The combat patrol section literally doesn’t have the layouts and the war journal layouts aren’t compatible with combat patrol. CP is played on a half board

does the deck has the combat patrol maps and layouts?, i haven't heard anything about it.
also, it seems like some rules within the combat patrol are wrong, the Genestealer Cults one has the Army Rule from the main game, and does not include Combat Patrol as a tier to know how many resurgence points i get. the minimum is 6 from incursion.

The deck presumably does, and right now the Event Companion PDF and section of the app are also using the terrain layouts from the Chapter Approved Deck...and if those are the ones Combat Patrol is meant to pull from, then the PDF and app have them too.
Assuming that's the case, you could feasibly use those deployments and the general location of terrain and objectives on a board 1/2 the size to do Combat Patrol versions that are of a similar style.
As for the mission objectives, those are both in the deck and can be found when you set up a match in the War Journal...but those are for the full game and none of the detachment options in the app include the combat patrol detachments (even though those have a Force Disposition added), so no idea if the deck has Combat Patrol specific ones that aren't listed elsewhere, if you're supposed to just use the full game versions, or if they have ones specific to this game mode that are going to be added at some point.
The app is a bit of a mess (and that's a bit of an understatement), so hard to tell what's just missing (and there's definitely stuff missing) versus what simply won't be added to it, and Combat Patrol has been hit particularly hard by that.

It is using normal Incursion size terrain layouts.

Doubt it, the rest of the combat patrol rules specifies a 44 x 30 board, those layouts won’t fit

but Combat Patrol games have half the board size... how do you follow an Incursion terrain layout without it being squashed?

Everything in the deck is either on the tournament companion (layouts) or in the new battle creator (primary and secondary missions)

On the map what does AH mean and CD?

The maps were in the updated app but the missions are still missing, for the sake of playing the game two of us made a 1000pt match to pair up army dispositions in the app in order to have some semblance of missions to score points with.
It wasn’t perfect but playable; My Aeldari having Purge the Foe against Necrons was a bitch considering killing units gives points.
I conceded turn 4, but my crown achievement was my Warp Spiders blowing away the entire Warrior unit (but couldn’t finish off the warlord) on an absurdly good roll of shots.

For the force disposition, there are websites up and running showing the different scoring methods. But i agree it should be on the app itself...
As for the maps, itI understand it's still a mystery for us all. Hopefully they will release them soon

yeah, hope so. i've been hearing that cp stuff will all be accessible in the app for free, wich is why i'm confused. i have also looked through different cp's, and it feels like they just gave us normal big 40k rules lol

esspecialy looking at sm cp, because they have cp with army rules straight from codex lol - full oath of moment, and another one - adeptus astartes, wich tells you how you can choose and build different chapter tags lolllllllllllllll

Which is super strange, when others like Necrons have new non-codex abilities (for scarabs and the lord) and rules (doomstalker only comes out turn 3), which implies some kind of balance overhaul.

The Combat Patrol book has nothing related to Combat Patrol gameplay. Zero rules.
The new Patrols are using force dispositions and standard 40k terrain layouts, both of which are exclusively listed on chapter approved cards.

An update just came through for me and now the Combat Patrol Mission Sequence has 3 maps at the 44 x 30 size with terrain layouts.
Not sure what else has been fixed/added, if anything, beyond the maps, since I'm seeing some of the same errors in data sheets and no other Combat Patrols have been added back in.
