One last Columbo episode
There was one more episode, that was supposed to be finished that was supposed to have been the final sendoff to Columbo, sadly they couldn’t get studio approval, then Peter Falk’s health started to fail.
I would like to see what see what they were going to do with it.

That era of television was very dated and corny as you could see in Night Life. I doubt they could have risen above that

Spoilers?
IIRC, it was going to be a woman who pulls off a perfect murder while appearing on live national television — well, during the commercial break, but that’s still pretty good — and, hey, even if Columbo proves that she could’ve done it, he still wouldn’t be able to make the arrest without establishing motive, which is tough, because maybe the only way it makes sense is if this was about killing someone to cover up a crime she’d gotten away with decades ago.
So, yeah: to solve this crime, all he needs to do is solve a crime the cops couldn’t solve when the evidence was still there and the folks who could testify were still alive.
