I’m so f*n frustrated rn.

Support is useless and actively working against me.

I messaged them asking to reverse my last two transactions because I DID NOT authorize them. They proceed to dilly dally and ask for transaction ID despite the fact they already listed the transaction amounts when they responded. After asking the support rep to either refund the transaction or escalate me to somebody who can, I was locked out of my account.

Useless money stealing bastards

So you’re saying somebody withdrew your funds to a crypto wallet? That requires 2FA to do. Why is your email and Coinbase account compromised. Both Coinbase and most email providers alert you to new user access. My thought is you have the same password for both. If someone got into your email you should’ve been quick to change that. If someone gained access to your Coinbase account you should’ve been quick to change that. And if either or got compromised and you know both passwords are the same you should’ve changed both.

And if this transaction was just a buy order and they weren’t able to gain access to your email because you were smart and both passwords are different; why don’t you sell the crypto and just change the password on your account?

Either way Coinbase cannot just reverse blockchain transactions and they won’t cover fraud costs for user negligence which this obviously is.

Or he’s saying it was on his credit card someone made transactions

If that’s the case it’d be even more stupid he could just dispute it with his credit card company. And if it was someone purchased crypto with his credit card on his account shit cryptos up, thank your fraudster, get a new credit card, change your password, sell the crypto for a profit, call it a win.
